I got curious just how far you could get dps in only blue gear after reading the greedy goblin blog linked in the Gear vs Skill thread on the main boards.
So I started playing with wowhead and femaledwarf and got to this:

That's close to 10k dps below BiS gear and about half of my own current gear.
So, anyone think they could nudge it up a little?

tsk tsk, you are using epic gems which are a no no. Still 5.8k is better than I do on my t9 Dk which makes me sad and might get me to a target dummy to work the priority system into muscle memory (then again I'm a slacker so maybe not).
That's the exact same gear set I came up with when I was looking at putting together an Undergeared set to mess with the minds of LFD pugs. Except that I overlooked the Hit trinket and made up for it with an alternate bracer and gemming, which works out slightly worse.
I'm actually surprised that it's that high, matter of fact - I guess that even though I disagree completely with Gear > Skill, I've still internalized it to some extent.

Compared to almost 16k dps in BiS gear it's really pretty damn low.

Without epic gems, so really only a 50 dps loss.\

Switched to Alchemy and altered the shotpriority a little.

They raid 10s you have buffs set to a 25 man level.
I changed it to a random setting of non-optimal 10 man buffs as they use and got:

And this isn't really a tool to calculate your dps with, only to calculate hypothetical dps under perfect circumstances.
