What is now the best way to level them? Been trying in a not serious way and it seems painful.

Or does Dr. Boom still work?

I don't know if Dr. Boom works or not.

Leveling weapons will soon be done away with which is nice, however, if you need weapons up now, it's still a relic system from when WoW was following all the old RPGs and did weird stuff. Wearing lots of INT gear makes weapons level much faster, strangely enough. If you can find a bunch of INT green leather, it will help your weapons go up faster. Weapons go up slowly for melee classes because INT is usually one of the last stats you want, but it actually does help out in this one very specific case.

They are removing leveling weapons as well? How easy do they want to make this game? I really hope Cataclysm brings back some sort of challenge to this game. With all the LFG systems and graveyards everywhere and 25 minute instances with Epics even in regular mode there really is no sense of accomplishment anymore. This is sad.

I levelled my maces up in Howling Fjord with the Vry'kul there. Granted, eventually you'll have to move to higher level mobs that won't die quickly, but it worked for quite a bit. If I was running low on health after a while, then I'd either vanish, kill them, or stun them to bandage up... Then continued on.

How is levelling weapons a "challenge"? It's a tedious chore, but it's not difficult. Sure, there's a sense of relief when you're done, but I could say the same about washing the dishes after dinner - can't say I ever felt a sense of accomplishment after doing that, either.

Thanks, I totally forgot about the Cata weapon skill thing.

Will still do melee weapons but they are a thousand times easier to level then ranged.

There's a difference between challenging and unnecessary tedious monotonous tasks.
