There hasn't been a post in the Mage forums for almost two weeks. >.<

So... What's everyone been doin'?

I haven't done anything interesting on my Mage since I got 2pc T10. >.< I keep meaning to grab some PuG raids, but I'm always on at weird times now thanks to my work hours. So I've really just been doing dailies/farming to get up a nice bank for when I xfer my new DK over to Dalaran.

My guild is now 8/12 (HM) in 25 and 11/12 (HM) in 10man. We should (hopefully) be at least at 9 this week, maybe 10 depending on how much professor time we get.

Other than that, not too much but just basic progression stuff. I finally broke down and bought the Lady's Brittle Bracers so that I could raid as fire spec hit capped without gemming like crazy for it, I still need some more crit gear, but it is alright (wtb H. Spyglass, etc).

I just started playing my Mage again, after transferring him to Kazzak(EU) to play with people from here. I've gotten bored of tanking and want to try my hand at DPS again. So far, the best I've managed is 9.2k on a heroic boss as Arcane.

Also, you know the macro that casts Ice block, and then cancels it? Is there something similar to that for invisibility?

/cancelaura() invisibility I think, same as ice block but put invis in there.

I don't know about invis, but if you just press your Iceblock button a second time it cancels it.

Just remember to use it as a cast sequence or something, because that code will cancel it immediately, which you don't want.

Starcraft 2 baby!

"The only thing you should feel when you shoot someone...is the recoil."

I'll probably get back to my mage come Cata (and also come this beta phase end, which is in a couple of days), but right now I'm having way too much fun roasting zerg.

Edit: In reply to that cancel-macro - just make it say /cancelaura Ice Block/Invisibility first, and /cast Ice Block/Invisibility on the second line. That way it'll try to cancel the buff before casting it, meaning nothing gets cancelled prematurely. Has worked fine for ages for me now.

Ew, really? I'm in the beta, but haven't been on in forever due to time constraints (haven't logged into WoW for 2 days either, come to think of it). I'm kinda bummed now...

Well, it was actually supposed to end last monday, but the date got pushed back because the last patch (by now already the before-last patch) mucked up bnet and people kept getting discs and crashes all over the place for four or five days.

My mage has gone untouched. My 25 man guild transferred off of the server, which I couldn't afford to do. My 10 man guild dissolved long ago, for the same reason my 25 transferred off: no recruits.
Sisters of Elune is finally a dead server ally side, so I have had absolutely no urge to play over there.
I've started a belf rogue with a friend on another server, after that will be a tank of some form, then maybe I'll have the cash to transfer my beloved mage over. It kills me to not play her, but why the hell would I just use my mage, who has little use for ICC10, for heroics?

I haven't touched my mage or my druid in a couple of weeks now because I'm having so much fun testing out a priest. As much as I love my mage, I'm seriously considering making a Goblin mage my main for Cata. But WoW is going on the back burner for a couple of weeks. The bf and I are broke right now, so badly that I had to cancel my subscription so I could feed my cat... In a couple of weeks hopefully, that'll be remedied and I can go back to playing.

I've also gotten frustrated because my GS is too low to get into my new guild's official casual raiding group, and I keep missing the guild's unofficial runs of ICC. I REALLY want to get in there, both for gear and so I can see it. I quit last time right at the beginning of 3.3, so I only had one run through the first wing of ICC, and I got no gear out of that particular run. I want a LK kill before Cata damn it.

I also haven't played the mage much lately except in alt runs. I switched to feral dps/tank for guild needs for the feral buffs. I enjoy both toons but the change was nice. On the other hand the Lich King in heroic 25 hurts at about 48k a hit at the end of phase one and that is one of the fights that I tank due to warriors getting pretty much destroyed by him.

I haven't decided on my cata main yet but it is likely I will stick with druid if I stay in the tank officer position.
