Hello!

The title says it all.... I would just like you guys to post your favorite Totem combinations of any kind. Post as many combinations as you want; as much for PVP as for PVE, no matter your specs - Resto, Ele, Enh !

What do you think are the best combins for an Ele shaman for PVP? And for PVE?
What do you think are the best combins for a Resto shaman for PVP? And for PVE?
What do you think are the best combins for an Enh shaman for PVP? And for PVE?

It alls depends on the group setup, of course, but for maximum personal DPS/HPS, I'm rolling with:

Restoration PvE:

Earth: N/A (put whatever here, it doesn't affect your HPS)
Fire: Flametongue Totem
Water: Mana Spring Totem
Air: Wrath of Air Totem

Elemental PvE:

Earth: N/A
Fire: Totem of Wrath
Water: Mana Spring Totem
Air: Wrath of Air Totem

I believe Enhancement PvE uses:

Earth: Strength of Earth Totem
Fire: Flametongue Totem
Water: Mana Spring Totem
Air: Windfury Totem

But I have no personal experience with Enhancement in PvE at level 80.

If there are two Paladins in the group, substitute Mana Spring Totem with Healing Stream Totem instead, since I'll be rolling with both Blessing of Kings and Wisdom. I guess Enhancement would still use Mana Spring since they'd get Kings and Might.

Like above, it depends on the situation.

Mostly I drop:

Earth
Wrath
Healing
Air

If there's another Shaman, I coordinate with him/her. Together, we are usually dropping:

Earth/Stoneskin
Wrath/Flametongue
Healing/Mana
Air/Windfury

Also, I will drop cleansing if the mobs are doing poison.

(this is for my elemental Shammie. When I do resto, I'll drop Flametongue instead of wrath)

There are fights in raids and dungeons where I drop binding or tremor, too.

There is no BEST combo overall.

When I enter a dungeon, my first thought is - how can I help my party the most? The mindset of a Shaman.

Normally my drops consist of Stoneskin, Mana Spring, Windfury, and Flametongue. Strength of Earth is normally covered by a DK.

If there's a DK, I go to Stoneskin. If there is a Frost DK, go to Wrath of Air. (Provided he specced for party haste.) More casters than melee? Wrath of Air over Windfury. You get the point.

That was for PvE though - PvP, don't expect to use the premade sets if you want to be competent at all. Dropping 4 at once is just wasteful and cannot be timed correctly. Bind individual totems or get a totem addon to hold them all. Putting them on your bars doesn't work well.

Assume a DK for SoE. PvE caster shammies will run:

stoneskin
flametongue/totem of wrath
mana spring
Wrath of Air

Obviously cleansing comes out for certain fights, some restos may prefer healing stream if theres a pally available.

Enhance is likely gonna be

SoE
Magma
Mana Spring
WF

My resto's basic PvP drop is

Tremor
FT
Cleansing
Grounding

I don't have the stoneclaw glyph (or a pvp spec or otherwise i'd drop that). If there are no locks or warriors or priests in sight the tremor gets swapped with earthbind. And if there are no hunters, dks, rogues, ferals or spriests I can replace cleansing with healing stream or mana spring. A rogue gets searing to prevent him from vanishing while I'm blinded.

The totem addon that I use is Totem Timers : wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/totemtimers.aspx

There are lots of other totem addons available, a quick search on wow.curse.com gave this list : wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/SearchResults.aspx?q=totem
