I think that tea and cookies can't be endlessly discussed, how sad. Smiley: frown

Sure it can. Somebody make a chart of tea and cookie pairings and we'll debate.

Shortbread requires Earl Grey.

I really only drink earl grey and lemon tea, both pair well with just about any sort of cookie, or I just don't know enough about tea nor cookies to have much of an opinion.

Oatmeal Raisin is the best cookie ever. Especially when there's enough cinnamon to sink a battleship. Also, what's the point in all the different flavours of tea? I tried Earl Grey for the first time yesterday, and it make me want so wash my mouth with soap. What's wrong with a regular old cup of tea? Eugh, I feel English now. But even still, I'm a bigger fan of Coffee

Fresh orange juice, a cup of cappuccino, croissants with cheese and jam and a good newspaper.

Wait, we were talking cookie pairings and not the ultimate breakfast...

Oatmeal cookies are delicious but should never be made with raisins, only with toffee chips or, if you must have fruit, dried cranberries. Anyway Dadanox ruined that option with his disgusting suggestion of coffee.

And, what's the point of different flavors of tea? For reals?

First of all, you must have black tea for morning, green for afternoon, and red for evening, so right there you're already splitting up.

Then, who wants to drink the exact same hot beverage every single morning for eternity? Boringass coffee drinkers, that's who.

And then, of course, there are the pairings. Earl Grey with toast or shortbread. Irish Breakfast or English Breakfast with eggs. Orange spice green tea, hot or iced, with meals that aren't breakfast. For after the meal, mint if you've eaten too much (such as Thanksgiving), otherwise something mildly spicy like ginger, cinnamon, or tumeric. Chocolate teas and chais are delicious with dessert.

To be honest, the only reason I drink coffee is for Caffeine. If I have Rockstar/Monster/Relentless/insert your energy drink of choice here, then I'll drink that instead. Although, One thing that I'll drink over anything else on the planet is Irn Bru. I would bathe in that stuff if I could afford to(it's 6 dollars for 2 liters over here, or do I mean up here? either way, in Canada.) It's got enough caffeine that you don't feel like sleeping after a whole bottle, it's cheaper (back home) and it tastes as if it came from almighty science itself. And what I wouldn't do to get my hands on some Black Pudding. I really miss home now.

Fresh coffee is the best.
Instant coffee is the very very worst.

But luckily for me the coffee machine at school doesn't use powder but makes some fairly decent coffee.
Or lucky, it's a little too easy to drink way too much coffee.

Nothing wrong with a little variety in life. I drink normal black tea (I think of normal tea like an English Breakfast) and Earl grey on a daily basis, sometimes Lady Grey, Redbush, Green, Ceylon (that one's not my favorite). I'm English and I love tea, but still I voted for choc chip cookies with a glass of milk. Yum.

In the US at least, normal tea, as in the standard teabag they'd give you in a diner, is plain orange pekoe. It's black tea, which has about half the caffeine of coffee. It's also gross.

Not sure if it's that way everywhere. PG Tips is also black tea but I don't know if it's the same grade or sourced from the same places.

Edited to clarify my question about PB Tips.

Especially with all sorts of fruit flavours and what not, the exception of course being lemon tea.

No idea whether PG Tips is the same all over the world, I'd hope so.

It seems every culture has their own idea of what normal tea is. In Britain, you'll get a pot of black tea - something like a PG Tips, with a jug of milk. Cross over the sea to the rest of Europe, you often have to make a point of asking for the milk as 'normal' is without milk. Last time in Northern Africa I got mint tea (yuk). Expect in Japan (I've never been), you'd get Green tea.

The best thing to eat with tea is not cookies, but scones with jam and clotted cream.

It's the same here as it is in the UK. I can get it at my local supermarket in the "British foods" section right next to the Jaffa cakes. :) I just wasn't sure if your PG Tips was the same as our, say, Lipton or Tetley. Tastes the same though.

Meat pies? Do you mean scotch pies? or Pork pies? and, though it's not quite a pie, the Steak Bridie. I remember back in in school I used to eat two of those for lunch, with a bottle of Irn Bru to wash it down, then a Fudge doughnut... and people wonder why Scotland's the most obese country in Europe. Strangely, after five years of that and a half pizza supper twice a week, I'm still relatively skinny.

ETA: Jaffa cakes are awesome.
Edit 2: This is closer to what I used to get.

Because it's deep fried and battered.

Also, there was a time when I lived in Dundee where I ordered pizza about 5 days in a row. But, I was really unhealthy last year, I can't cook, so I lived off of microwave meals, pizza, pancakes, cereal, bread, and crisps (chips for you crazy 'mericans) and Irn Bru. Lots of Irn Bru.2-4 litres a day.

The steak & kidney pies I got from this one bakery in Conwy looked kind of like your first link, individual sized. I bought them in the morning and ate them cold for lunch while I was out galavanting. For, like, 10 straight days. I imagine I gained some weight on that trip. (Mmmm... Welsh cakes.) But really, any pie or pasty with meat in it is a brilliant idea. The more organ meats - liver, kidney, what have you - the better.

The first picture was kind of a mince pie, but they get called Scotch pies because it's really, really greasy. When I used to go the the football with my dad, we'd get two pies at half time, by the time your finished it, the hand you were using to hold the pie had a layer of solid fat on it, and you could feel the grease on your lips beginning to harden. And Jaffa Cakes are a cake, because they go hard when they go stale. Biscuits go soft when they're left out.

This post made me realise that Scotland really does fry everything.

Also, I really want to try heart. It's the most worked muscle in any living things body, so it should technically be the nicest.

It's a fun mount. There are some interesting quirks, like you can solve an Archaeology item without leaving form. Some emotes work. I don't know why it cracks me up to have a dragon yell "Brilliant" in a Dwarven voice.

It is very cool, and I didn't realize it could do emotes, that is funny. One of the guys in my guild has it as well. I can't figure how you guys have gotten it already. Does't it take like a kabillion mats? And don't you have to jump through a hoop or two to get the recipe? I assumed it would be comparable to that engineering motorcycle.

Acquisition process:

1. Take a wad of cash (around 40k, 29k are just for vendor mats). If your horde, save by buying vendor mats with a goblin alt. Don't try to move mats through Neutral AH, as there is an exorbitant AH transaction fee on these items.
2. Buy mats
3. Find an Alchemist with the recipe (have them link their Alchemy) and give him a nice crafting fee (a few k should do it).

Alternate method (may be more expensive):
Buy the vial on the AH.

I don't have an Alchemist anymore. I've seen a couple people trying to sell the vial on the AH for around 47k. I think if I was trying to make money on this as an Alchemist, I'd make people go get the mats, then charge a crafting fee. That's a lot of cash to tie up in a crafted item for sale.

But yes, anyone can get it if you dedicate yourself to earning the cash for it.

Yeah, if I had the recipe that's what I would do. That is also what I plan on doing when I get a gear crafter up to max. Why spend gold on the mats for the epic gear, when you can charge a fee for the chaos orbs to make the gear for someone and be guaranteed a profit?

Yeah but you don't have to do that. You could just keep an eye out in trade chat when you're in the city and see if anyone asks for it. When I got my leather chest crafted I only had to ask in trade chat for about 15 minutes before someone whispered me.
