Because I'm a shameless thief who's stealing from the other classes. And we never get nice things.

Anywho.

Post your recent accomplishments!

I got Suffering's End from Anub 25man last night. I'm happy.

I ehm...

Didn't really accomplish much today. Did my dailies, shouted at some random prick who was asking for achievements for VoA 10 (seriously? It's started over here too now) and logged off. I'll get back to you once I get tribute of insanity - I think by now everybody in the guild has it except me >.>

Guild weekly ToGC10 run on Tuesday, got Anub down with 35 attempts to go. It was better than our previous kill (33 attempts) so everyone was happy about it. Imagine my surprise when all stars aligned and Beasts, Jaraxxus, FC, Twins and Anub goes down without a whipe on Wednesday! Lots of screams, new cool loot for everyone.

Didn't get a new weapon from Twins/Anub as I had hoped, but our rogue got both The Spinebreaker and the ArP-cloak. Still got some more upgrades to get there (belt/legs/boots/wand/trophys) so I hope I get lucky next week.

Finally have a healing set that's under 300 hit. (My main set and spec is Shadow and most of that gear is my healing gear).

Also, I finally feel like a real healer after my ToGC 10 run last night. We only go the beasts down, however I finally started making better use of my cooldowns for healing. I always forgot to use PI, but last night I was blowing it every chance I could to help keep our acidmaw tank alive (avoidance based warrior tank). If felt good to obviously be working so hard at it and succeeding.

Hey now. Don't mock. 1550 is a lot higher than I ever got in my, I believe, 30 or 40 lifetime matches. Mostly with my pally. I bet I'd be even worse with a priest, because everyone can three shot me and I still don't get how to stop them.

Wait wut? This is NOT about me? Okay fine.

Grats on all your accomplishments, peeps. :)

Edit: I mean everyone in arena can three shot me, because they're generally better. Battlegrounds and world PVP I'm pretty hard to kill now that I have over 900 resilience, and it's pretty funny watching them get all pissed off about it because they thought the girl in the dress would be an easy kill. The other night in Eye of the Storm a warrior was directly focusing me for at least 3 minutes, including through a bladestorm, before dying himself while I stood there as alive as can be. He did all kind of meanie emotes and stalked me for the rest of the game. Does causing nerd rage count as an accomplishment?

Downed Flame Leviathan 25 with all towers.

And not exactly priest related, but a Staff of Jordan dropped for my 45 mage I've been leveling on the side.

You need to get yourself a decent partner Tea =P. Even you should be able to get a 500 rating.

As for me, Mimiron 25 dropped Pandora's Plea, which I've figured is BiS for disc (along with the Talisman of Resurgence which I already have). I didn't get it, but got rather annoyed when a big *** spectacle of caster DPS rolled on it - sod them, it's BiS for nearly all healers and they want it "because they benefit from intellect too" >.>. My accomplishment here is that we had a healadin along with us who at first didn't want to roll - me and the other healers forced him to roll for our sanity's sake and were glad he won the trinket from the DPS. Silly warlocks and mages >.>

If you can survive that way and throw mana burns at the other teams healer while your team mate holds whatever is trying to kill you off of him you ca do arena.

Well, a very large part is movement you need to be out of melee range/LoS of the dps and in LoS of the healer where he can't avoid your mana burns and you should also be able to run off to drink whenever needed.
It's kinda hard Smiley: tongue

I have an awesome partner. And he's not bad at arena either. Smiley: lol I never said we couldn't get 500, which I believe you can get just by showing up and drooling, which I can do okay. Last season I think we were at a thousand, but I only did our 10 matches for 3 weeks before I was all meh, not tonight honey, I have a headache. So it probably would've gone up a little from there, although I don't think we'd ever hit Aethien's 1550 (let alone whatever he gets on his hunter).

I can't survive that way, though, against someone with a good weapon, or someone who is good at PVP, or both. Which you find more in arena than on battlegrounds.

Bah, I'm sure we could do okay if I'd get in there. The rating requirements for the lower tier gear are really low this season. I just haetz arena the way Aethien hates battlegrounds, and the way Moz hates Holy. Smiley: wink

It kind of balances out because while it's harder to survive vs who you meet in arenas you're also not on your own and you have someone to shout at that he needs to get that ******* warrior off of you NOW! Smiley: grin

The hate part will be harder to cure though I'm afraid.
But that's so much part of who you are I guess.
I'm a pretty competitive person, if there's someone else I'll give all I have to do better than him/her, if there's nobody else I'll go improve myself.
And I enjoy the cooperative part, you're just 2(/3/5) people solving a problem really.
Said problem just happens to move around and attempt to kill you Smiley: tongue

I like to think he is spying on the priest forums for the hunters to see if we are up to any sort of shenanigans or if we have cookies they can steal.

Yessssss! Dinged 80, got a handful of random cloth epics from farming normal ToC and tried some arena. We're currently sitting on 50% win ratio and beating the hell out of insanely better geared teams (RMP setup) even though i have 14k hp and about 100 resilience. Currently working on getting the WG legs and the deadly pvp set, though it's a bit grindy when each piece costs 50k honor.

Thank you! I tend to die horribly if i get focused too much (especially by warriors, ugh) but my frost mage friend is seemingly indestructible and provides great peels. The rogue needs a little more attention but on the other hand he straight up murders things, sometimes healers, completely on his own.

It's probably the most fun i've ever had in pvp actually. Very strange way of healing, i haven't cast greater heal once in 25 games (5/5 Divine Fury is still amazing for Holy Fire and Smiteing) and i rarely even use flash heal. PW:S along with prayer of mending bouncing around takes care of most damage and penance is alway there if someone is getting focused hard. My favourite moment so far was frantically Mass Dispelling round a pillar to get innervate off a druid i had burned down to about 2k mana while trying to dodge lava bursts from a shammy. Pretty sure my mage was laughing too hard on vent at my increasingly high pitched cursing as i missed with the targeting reticule again and again :(

Priest PvP is fun because you can be so goddamn aggressive.
Holy fire > Smite spam is pretty decent damage, and chain mana burning someone takes them out so fast.

Warriors however, break you in two if they're not peeled properly.
Your rogue and mage however can completely dominate a warrior.
Roots and slows in tons and a disarm each time he bladestorms.

Also, it's high priority to get hitcap (6%) and some spell pen as you need your (mass) dispel to hit.
And MCing a healer off of the bridge in BEM is epic.

It wins you games if you can Fear > MC and run out of LoS.
Your mage and rogue can easily take someone down with a blind and possibly deep freeze/PoM poly waiting.

I guess you have Divine Fury, but I'm amazed you can stand casting Smite. The incredibly slow cast time for the mediocre damage wants me to claw out my eyeballs whenever I cast it. I hate it when I need a quick decent-damage spell and just sit there looking at my cast bar going "smite... smiiiiiiiiiiiite... smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite..." followed by an astonishing *poof*, 2500 hit. No, give me a Holy Fire+Mind Blast+Shadow Word: Death combo anytime. It makes me feel like I'm actually nuking instead of waiting for a slight amount of damage. The only downside to it is that those three spells together seem to *always* leave an enemy at 15% hit points with all three your quick nukes on cooldown. And then you have to wait for smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite to fire anyway =(

Regardless, I like priest healers in PvP. They can be annoying, but they're not as f*cking annoying as resto druids. Priest healers can actually run OOM, and you can actually stay on them. IF you even manage to stay on a constantly morphing restodruids back, which is annoyingly hard to do due to the fact that you can't slow them properly and they will cyclone you whenever you get a hold of them, they will just outheal every goddamn thing you throw at them. And you can't even interrupt them. And when you pop all your CD's and get a 10K crit, they'll use Nature's Swiftness and do an instant full heal. And there is no OOMing them either. It's just goddamn frustrating.

Edit for the lulz.

Priests run OoM, true.
but they run you OoM faster.

You do need (a) good partner(s) though.
If you can stand still and mana burn/nuke you can go for some pretty high burst.

And I'm currently specced 54/17/0 for PvP.
I've been contemplating dropping either PS or IF glyph for Glyph of smiting but I need to L2P before I can afford to do that.
