I've considered going into law to work for/as a District Attorney. But I've also considered joining a SWAT team and an astronaut so my future career aspirations are almost always all over the board.

So the solution is to practice law from space and man a precision laser cannon to take out criminals with pinpoint accuracy.

Sending you into space can NOT be a wise decision.

How the hell did you know exactly what I'm planning.

Seriously, though, I am planning to go into law myself.

That really sucks.

Does registering for classes lock your attendance? It doesn't for us. If not, you should really probably register anyway. You can always decide not to go back next semester, but it will be good to not have to fight to get into classes if you do.

And it would be really worth just pushing on, if you can. Finding a job/working a job is going to be a lot more work than school.

No, we can withdraw up until the Sunday before classes start with no financial penalty. Might be better to register for now, but I really don't think it's a good idea. I've been trying and failing to complete classes for over a year now and I'm just wasting money. I really just need to take some time off, start taking care of myself again and get my head back on straight. And at the very least, as long as i'm not enrolled in school, I can get food stamps.

*hugs* Pigtails. Working sucks but if you're stuck and not getting anywhere now it may just help you sort yourself out a bit.
And if you ever feel the need to rant or just get something off of your chest you canalways talk to me. Smiley: smile

This. I gave up on school, moved to canada, got a job, made some money, and am still deciding what I want to do for the rest of my life. While you may have decided what you want to do, taking some time to get your head straight is definately a good idea.

Also, I don't get why people say working sucks. I freaking love my job, and all I do is lift crap all day, tear **** apart all day, and shout and swear all day. It's not bad for two thousand bucks a month.

The Star Wars thingy seems interesting. I've always liked the movies and I like all the pewpew in it.
I'm not sure if my good ol' pc can run it though.
Maybe I'll google one of those ''test if your pc can run it'' things when I can be assed.

If my PC is able to run it and I'll start playing it, will it cost me money monthly?

SW:TOR does have a monthly sub, but it's probably going to be the last mmo until Titan that requires one. I can't imagine any company thinking the have the IP or game quality to even compete with the biggest MMO in the world, and what's probably going to be the second biggest, once it comes out. But, WoW is dying, at least, that's my personal opinion. MoP will probably be the last xpac that I buy, even though I'll probably only play it for a couple of months, then give up for good if it turns out to be as craptastic as I'm expecting it to be.

My laptop has an i5 2nd generation processor, but is using Intel HD integrated graphics. I can run TOR with most settings at "high" (not ultra) and only the most intensive ones turned down, at playable FPS.

And my PC was built in 2007.
All I can remember from specs is that it had dual core.

I'm fairly sure that I remember people saying they were using single cores in the last beta weekend.

It has a huge graphics range, iirc. With a dual core and a GPU, you'll certainly be able to run it at playable frame rates. I have no clue at what graphics level, though.

Finnish sounds cool.

If only it was remotely like a human language, then maybe I could understand it.

Oh, Aeth. I still haven't gone to the local liquor store to see if they have Duvel there. But I'm going there tomorrow or friday. Or well, it's past midnight now so tomorrow, latest.
Why? Because I'm lazy like that, and I've gotten my beer from the normal store still. So far quantity > quality.
