Xsarus is a big meaniehead who nukes posts.

Edit: And Protein, you can't lose the scenarios and almost all of them can be beaten in no time by throwing down as many thrill rides as possible to generate money and then meet the minimum requirements for a win. I haven't even done more than one or two scenarios since my last install. Smiley: lol

Oh I expect them to be somewhat easy at least, not going for challenge here. RTC2 wasn't exactly difficult, still I never beat a scenario in a month. Seriously, they give you 10k to pay off a 1k loan. You pay it off and use the 9k left to build a new coaster, then you win? Smiley: confused At least when they have VIPs visit you have to stick around the park for a while until they show up. I suppose the next one is a bit better though. More like I remember you spend a couple of years building stuff and getting your value/money/etc. up and you win. I like those ones.

I suppose either way I'm just there to build roller coasters and ride them.

Considering the target audience is pre-teen/tween girls, I suppose it could be worse. I imagine I will have to suffer through it at some point with my daughter if her mom doesn't take her to see it.

Know what's really fun?

When the email address alias your department distributes to the public just stops working. And when it randomly ends up as your job to deal with it, even though you aren't an IT person, because your division doesn't have IT support. And when the people in the organization who could possibly help you can't be reached. And when this happens in the middle of one of the worst weeks possible.

Yeah, really, really fun.

True, to both of you.

Very, very true.

I'm now finding out that it might be because our email account is in the process of being closed, as part of a group audit, because someone deleted the email from our webmaster requesting we submit our renewal form. Entirely too many people have access to this account, so who knows who that could have been.

And this REALLY shouldn't be my problem to solve.

If it isn't your problem to solve, and if there is no real repercussions for you not solving it, then don't solve it. Let people who are responsible for it deal with it.

Unfortunately, if I don't solve it, I have to deal with the fallout of not getting the emails that would have been forwarded to me had it been working. So it ultimately ends up my problem regardless.

Not that it won't be a problem for everyone else too - it will - but if I don't do it, I know it won't get done until the middle of next week at the earliest.

I'm pretty sure I've isolated the problem to a faulty MX with the division that actually hosts the email domain.

Unfortunately, getting a hold of them is proving a pain in the ass. I'm mostly ignoring the issue right now. I'll try again later, but it's not worth banging my head into a brick wall for three hours. If I wanted to do that, I'd go debate with alma and gbaji.

I'm kind of wondering why people even have IT divisions anymore. My experience with them is they're ridiculously over priced and have a laundry list of things they wont do for you anyway.

Hence the reason we do our own IT, maintain our own website, and I'm learning python... Smiley: rolleyes

Hope you figure it out diglett. If you do, demand more money. Smiley: nod

Well sure, but they also usually have someone there like diglett who's more than capable of tracking down a problem, and is likely getting paid a small fraction of the money you'd pay an IT professional to do the same thing.

Or maybe our IT people just suck and I'm universalizing... Smiley: rolleyes
