It's simple, you drink a few not too bitter IPA's and wait for the Stockholm syndrome to kick in.

It's actually been really nice lately. Not really "Hey, it's Spring!" nice, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Spring is over rated anyway. No one would like it if it didn't come right after winter.

This is especially true in Western Oregon, lol. I don't know about Eastern Oregon, simply because I haven't spent much time there but I know that on the other side of the Cascades, weather is a lot different. Like they get snow during the winter, every year. A lot of it.

It's been hovering between 50 and 60 F during the days here (10-15.5 C).

So yeah, not bad, but not quite warm, either. Kind of hard to dress for. Long sleeves are too hot, short sleeves too cold. Looking forward to that 3-day period where we have weather in the high 70s, before everything goes to **** and it's humid and hot.

My second deployment my living arrangements was next to a married couple, and my roommate and I would hear them all the time. Bless them they tried to be quiet but the walls were so paper thin you could hear a moth trying to silently **********. We were pretty good friends with them, so we generally stayed quiet about hearing it to keep it from being awkward.

Except at the end. We found out they were being redeployed back to the states, so the last time they had *** we set up lawnchairs outside and waited until they left their room to go eat, while holding two signs over our heads. A "10.0," and a "8.5 (Lost points for that dismount)"

re: Arrow to the knee: Original intent is irrelevant. Current perception is paramount. You're right to continue believing it's an actual war injury, as it makes it funnier, therefore better.

Hey Aeth, you might be interested to hear that New York City is launching its bike share program, possibly this month.

And, in related news, the Copenhagenize Index was released today. Maybe NYC will make it onto that list now.

I thought Copenhagen was a city in Amsterdam?

Cool, an uptick in bike theft is coming up.

And if I got boobs, I'd only do tasteful nudes. Like pinching the nipple and filling a cup with whiskey or something. Haven't decided what I'd have on tap.

To be honest, it's a better plan than the white bikes plan Amsterdam had in the 70's. Those were just bikes without a lock free for anyone to use which meant that for the price of a can of spray paint, you'd have a brand new bicycle.

There's only three things I love more than my city, and I have faith it'll work out relatively decently. I mean, there will be an uptick in stolen bikes. That's a given. People are stupid, and when there are more people, there is an equal increase in stupid. However, I'd feel safe betting there are numerous trackers on the bikes so they'll be retrieved soon as well.
