Well, cook more then. It's fun and there's plenty of websites with recipes to make it all really easy too.

Plus, you can seduce your boyfriend by cooking a fancy meal for him wearing nothing but an apron or something. Smiley: tongue

I only clicked 'Post' once. Smiley: frown

The paper is on using immersion as a didactic tool in history teaching to increase learning. The amount of literature I have go sift through, though, is unmanageable, and my teachers want me to send them text all the time. It feels like I'm writing two assignments - one from a pedagogical point of view and one from an academical point of view - on the same subject, at the same time.

Doesn't help that I think it's a completely pointless assignment. Why should a 25-page paper on a subject decide whether or not I get to be a teacher? Every single internship has ended in the assisting teacher praising me as a natural. I've even got a part-time job as a teacher, but it all comes down to whether or not I manage to write this paper within the month.

Pointless! Smiley: mad

Also, history teachers that are good story tellers are the best history teachers. Making history about real people and happenings and trying to understand the why and how of it all rather than boring numbers and dates is how you get kids interested in history.

Numbers are boring but everyone loves a good story.

Yeah, historical tales are a good way to create immersion. My main focus, however, is on analyzing whether or not immersion creates good and efficient teaching (and why), and if immersion is a requirement according to the official "common goals" for history teaching as laid out by the Ministry of Education.

It's all terribly boring, something I probably should have realized before I chose the subject.

If they can deliver on these promises, this is something I'd be have a HUGE interest in. I love a lot of the concepts here. A story that's actually going to change based on decisions, with different endings and different pathways to them. I really like the notion of developing your character's personality through the Tides. And it sounds like the expectation is that you are going to develop into them as you like, so the middle paths are going to have full support. That's my biggest gripe about morality systems as we've seen them in games so far. They tend to too strongly favor going full good/bad, which means anyone in the middle is losing out (or worse, like with The Old Republic, lack support completely).

I think I'll definitely back it when I next get paid. Thanks Aeth. Smiley: nod

I don't think they need any more backing, what with them picking up their $900,000 goal in 6 hours.

Edit: and it seems that they've done this sort of thing before with Planescape: Torment. Although I can't say I've played that or even heard of it before.

LastPass is a great password manager, and it stores info online (encrypted of course) so you can access it from any computer as long as you have a connection.

It has a freeware version and a $12 per year premium version that got 5/5 stars and Editor's Choice from PC Magazine. I like Rubenking and have been reading his stuff for years.
