Got my druid to 69 last night and i have to say flight form is freaking awesome Smiley: grin. I spent about an hour flying around shatt playing druid "chicken" before i decided to head out to howling fjord and start leveling again. Soon as she hits 70 she gets a nice little set of leather armor and epic flight form Smiley: grin.

Edit: I believe in my haste to get to 70 i made a mistake, I skipped over terrokar so mindel's lower city rep is not even friendly yet so i need to run some instances before i can even get into heroic sethekk halls to finish the epic flight form quest Smiley: cry.

Epic is trained at 71 now.

Let us know if you can still get it at 70 by doing the quest.

I hope you can epic is awesome.

Not 100% sure how it works now with regards to that. :)

Druid flight is sheer joy for me. :D
Heck during that long spell of leveling in northrend I'd go play around outlands just to get my wings back for a while. ^^;;

Happy Hunting on your Swift Flight Chain, it is an awesome amount of fun.

Well got to 70 last night and bought my epic flyer skill then went back and did as many quests as i could in the bone wastes but ended up with 4000/6000 rep from honored with lower city Smiley: cry so i decided to go ahead and start up the swift flight form quest and needless to say its freaking epic Smiley: grin my favorite part was dropping a 25k starfire crit on the hawk guardian.

Edit: Quest completed and i was awarded swift flight form at level 70 Smiley: grin.

cute work-based story unrelated to anything druidic inc!

so i get a call monday morning at around 10:30, which is to say nutrition break at the school i work at. i only work there tuesdays and thursdays this year due to scheduling issues, but the idea is to be there full time come next year.

anyway, my phone rings and its one of the girls at the school, and shes panicking:

Her - "Quor! [names changed to protect the innocent] Did you get fired?! *note of hysteria slips into her voice*"

Me - "Uh...no....not that I'm aware of....why?"

Her - "Oh my god we thought you got fired! So you didn't get fired?!"

Me - "Uh, no, I don't think so."

Her - "Then why aren't you at school today?!"

Me - "....hun, it's Monday, I work Tuesday/Thursday."

Her - "....oh thank god. Thank you Quor! *hangs up*"

cute. adorably cute if i may say so myself (and i do).

so i get in on tuesday to find out that the kid i work with basically told everyone that i had been fired cause he knew it would freak them out. i gave him a high five for that one; he got everyone good. hell, he even had me checking my schedule to see if i had been pulled off his case or something lol. the plan now is to get this one girl (whom i affectionately refer to as my adopted little sister) who was absent tuesday. ive got about a dozen of her friends in on it, so we'll see how this goes. shes a feisty one, so i might come out of it with a few bruises, but i think she'll laugh her **** off once the initial shock wears off.

Ok go here to pester admins about our sticky.

Also Quor, I wish my Moms had funny stories like that from work. She also teaches special kids.

As a side note what sort of kids do you teach? My Moms teaches, umm 'slow' kids, and one of my boys from college teaches hooligans. Just curious.

we went from "cute school-based story" to "tag teaming milfs" in the span of five posts. awesome.

anyway, we pulled the prank today. it went something like this:

*Quor waiting out of sight around a corner. Phone rings*

Quor - Hello?
Quor's adopted little sister - Quor?! It's [name withheld]. I heard you really did get fired?!?!
Q - Yeah hun, I did. I'm so sorry....
QALS - But how?! How could they do that?!
Q - It was the budget cuts hun [I live in California], they just had to cut me. I'm so sorry I couldn't say goodbye to you in person, that's why I asked [name withheld] to tell you to call me, so I could say goodbye.
QALS - Oh my god, I can't believe they would do this *slight note of histeria in her voice*.
Q - I know hun it sucks but....hey, get this; I'm looking for a job at another school and I SWEAR TO GOD there is this girl here who could be your twin sister. She looks just like you *said as I'm walking down the hall towards her and her friends*.
QALS - Oh great, now you're hallucinating Quor.
Q - I'm serious! It's totally crazy because she's even wearing something exactly like you'd wear. She's got this blue top on with these brown shorts and a pair of Converse. It's amazing how much she looks like you. *QALS looks herself up and down, slowly realizing that I'm describing what she's wearing at this exact moment* In fact, she looks so much like you I think I'm going to go up and say hi to her *QALS looks to her side then and sees me coming*
QALS - QUOR!! *laughs and runs at me, giving me a tackle-hug* Don't do that to me ever again!!!!

aaaaaand scene.

in short....IT WORKED PERFECTLY! she bought it hook, line and sinker and she had a big grin on her face afterwards. it was a good day.

I felt like gloating.

After much stock piling of mats from my near endless addiction to farming. I decided to liquidate my four almost full bank tabs of ore, gems, herbs and other assorted mats.

Two days, 670 items in the auction house, and 11k gold later, I still have 150 things in the auction house.

Who knew that I would sell over 50 stacks of Infinite Dust for 78 gold a stack?

My goal was to break 10k gold off the auctions, now it's to break 14k :D

Here is my guide to farming.

Step 1: Trip to any Local Business that sells Alcohol in any form. For me, thats the liquor store since gas stations dont sell beer in ND.

Step 2: Return to your place of residence and power up your computer, turn on vent and wow.

Step 3: Begin to announce to everyone you're going to be intoxicated.

Step 4: Crack beer into microphone to remind everyone of incoming inhebriation.

Step 5: Mount your flying mount, or flight form.

Step 6: Begin Drinking.

Step 7: Farm for hours in a drunken stupor, making sure to crack beers into the microphone.

Step 8: Pass out on keyboard.

Step 9: Wake up with keyboard marks in your face and bags full of mats.

Step 10: Profit

That's rough.

This means I have to level my DK as my druid is now JC/LW. I need more JC recipes from the daily to be an effective gem merchant.

I think I can drink and farm herbs while periodically tanking stuff.

hes not addicted to farming per se. its more that hes addicted to crack cocaine and high-class blood elf hookers, and to feed that addiction he farms.

and of course, by the commutative property if hes addicted to crack cocaine and high-class blood elf hookers, and farming allows him to access that addiction, then hes addicted to farming. when he said "im addicted to farming" he was really just trying to be PC. and hide his shame.

^This

But as for the whole North Dakota not selling beer in gas stations it's even worse for me. I live in Fargo, no wise **** comments you jerks :(, and we're on the border with Minnesota. Well across the river is Moorhead and the whole city has a ban on beer being sold in gas stations. Funny thing is you go a little further east into a "suburb" of sorts called Dilworth and they can sell beer in the gas stations. Even though Fargo/Moorhead/Dilworth is all pretty much one huge **** city.

And for my addiction to farming, I like being rich. Plus I'm pretty good at staring endlessly at my monitor w/o a care in the world. I generally sit and talk with my guildies on vent and usually I'm drinking.

Which reminds me about why I crack my beers into vent.

Drunk Kara runs. Thats all :D

Thats not a bad ring at all.

Right now I'm at 543 haste I believe. Though if I ever get lifebinder to drop from Freya I'll be around 600ish. I've also thought about regemming for more haste again since the JC changes are coming. 27 haste gems are absolutely sick.

Basically, it is just bad luck. I live right on the boundary between two telephone exchanges, just out of the ADSL range of either one and then the copper wire to the house is probably 50+ years old. The government is planning a massive broadband roleout of fibre to every home in Australia but it will be a few years before it is done :(

In the meantime I have ordered a wireless 3G internet connection and will have to try playing with 6-800+ms ping instead of my already painful 300ms ping.

Not sure what it will mean to my raiding career :(
