I didn't download the ptr, I got sidetracked by this pizza I had ordered followed by about 6 hours of 3's. 1468 as Warrior/Boomkin/DPriest.

We had MAJOR MAJOR Edrama in the guild this weekend. It was hilarious, people got butthurt cause or GM who is the MT for the guild's 25 mans and the pro 10 man didn't want to go. And then 2 former guildies who run 10 mans with us got blamed.

It was hilarious and I got to yell at a bunch of people on vent and over gchat.

I think someone was able to ebandaid the edrama though.

But, with regards to the PTR I don't think I'll be able to get on very much in the next week or two since my girlfriend is finally back from AT. so I'll be into things with her.. and in... her. O.o

I got a stern talking too by one of the guild officers this weekend.

That was pretty ******* hilarious. The gm and officers are trying to fix some of the drama since one of our officers emoquit on us, then was invited back and got her officer rank right back. The best part was being threatened with a gkick if I didn't attempt to treat one of the people in my guild better. Oh if only they knew I didn't care, and I'm also one of the best caster dps they have.

Good thing my gf is back and I don't want to raid much this week, I'll be plenty busy w/o the wow.

We killed Mimi last night and then spent some time wiping on General.

I am hopeful we will kill Yog by the time the new raid drops, which would be awesome.

Only 10 man, we don't have the numbers for 25 yet. Heck we have to PuG slots fr 10 every now and again.

Luckily we have decent rep so people are willing to come. Doubles as a nice way to recruit.

We are doing General tonight. Or at least trying him till everyone can't stand it then maybe some IC attempts since we need to start working them as well. Tier loot bosses have been the priority though since we want people to gear up.

It has been working, everyone but me has a tier piece just about. Heck, I think out of everyone I have the least amount of Uld10 gear.

The RNG hates me.

How did it go? I tanked General for our 10 man team this week as the pally MT just weren't working out. I would barkskin and SI the first Surge of Darkness and then barkskin and get bubble-sac'd (we had 4 pallies which always helps) until SI was up again etc. Also, you need an interrupt ***** to make sure the AOE move (devouring flames?) is interrupted each time to avoid unnecessary damage and wasted mana for the healers.

What is your team make-up for IC? This feels like one of the easier fights but maybe that is because our normal warrior tank is good at the interrupts :)

I am hoping we do too, just Yogg left to down....we failed on the clouds somehow :( 75% (maybe more) we had one add up and then all of a sudden we had four, rush of blood FTL

Edit: Sorry, that should have read 75% of Sara's health in phase one gone and only one add alive the whole time....then all of a sudden we had four and started a mad rush to kill them before killing the tentacles once phase two had started.

general isnt so bad on 10 man, at least not for a tank or a melee. i run with a friends guild as their interrupter on my warrior. sit there in zerker stance, keeping sunders/demo/commanding shout up and pummeling every time searing flames starts to cast. if anything, from what i can tell the biggest hazard is a healer standing in the saronite clouds a bit too long. tank-wise you just do what kev said and more or less rotate CD's of some kind (trinket CD's count too). its even easier if you have a second (or third) class that can interrupt and you trust your main interrupter to get all the searing flames. then the secondary and tertiary interrupters can worry about surge of darkness, while the main takes care of SF.

yogg is actually fairly easy. the primary thing to remember in phase 1 is to just avoid the clouds. thats your main thing. if it means you have to break dps on the adds for 5-10s, then so be it, because 10s of a dps not dpsing is better than an extra add or three spawning.

phase 2 for us is the hardest part, only because every now and then someone will get constricted right as a portal comes up, so we gotta send in a non-optimal dpser to take out the brain. once we can get past phase 2, phase 3 is a cinch, especially for a tank and melee dps. the way things are going, we might try out a yogg+3 soon instead of the normal yogg+4. at least in terms of coordination we've got it down to the point that we probably dont need hodir there to save our asses every now and then. the only issue is every time we've downed yogg the ******* doesnt drop crap we can use. first kill on him gave us a rogue dagger (no rogues in raid) and the hunter xbow (no hunters either). yay shardz.

This is a pain for our team too but we always start from behind due to adds left alive from phase one. Maybe if we make a mess of it at one point we should kill the extra adds before starting phase 2.....

How many people and who do you send in? It was just me (kitty) and a DK on Monday so I don't know if that was enough

We nine manned Ignis and then did a few IC tries instead of General.

We likely would of had IC but the DK tank DC'd on Runemaster. Then me and an officer got drunk at the bus stop and hashed out next weeks raid schedule. We are putting Ignis on Wednesday's raid day as he is going to be farm and going to start working IC after Cat Lady on Wed.

Will give us Sunday for Keepers and Monday for General.

I like how we keep doing more on Wednesday in the same amount of time. Makes me happy.

What my guild has found, and works best for us, is on phase 1 yogg you go about it like this.

Pretend that this is a circle.

K_____K
| |
| S |
K__e__K

K - Keepers
S - Sara
e - entrance.

Ok, if this is a circle, mind you I can't make circles cause im terribad at ascii. Everyone will run into the room at point e. Everyone will stay at point e.

They don't move left or right farther than about 6 yards. You stay there, no one gets ranged, no one runs into something else. You can call out clouds over vent people will all see it together.

It's incredibly simple and all the problems with had on phase 1 we had in 25, we're gone in 2 tries and since fixing it we haven't hit a cloud.

We did Yogg25 + 3 keepers this week and our priest is now the pround owner of a new legendary - which currently has a +2 Beastslaying enchant :)

It wasn't that much different from my point of view (feral DPS) but the decurse people had to work a lot harder. For the harder modes, I feel it is really important to push it into phase through by the end of the 2nd portal phase. Any longer than that and you are going to be struggling to keep everything under control up top.
