Yeah, I had to work Saturday morning. Wasn't awesome. What actually kind of sucks is the fact that I didn't even get a full day, but because of the time I was there until, it made my prior plans impossible, so it basically cost me the day anyway. Smiley: frown

Just found this out yesterday (don't know why my wife didn't tell me sooner): my 25yo autistic daughter got sick at the Super Bowl party at her group home. Why? She drank too many O'Douls.

That's my girl!

Hey, at least you get paid. I'm on salary for Monday through Friday, but because I'm in a National Guard unit I don't get paid at all for the "One Weekend A Month" deal. As an added bonus, that means I'm on a twelve day work week. Smiley: mad

That must have been a lot of O'douls.

Oh and also, my sister called the second beer I had with dinner (which was similar to a Vlaams oud bruin and was both fruity, sour and pretty **** good) like a "disgusting mix of beer and red wine".
Then again, I guess I shouldn't be surprised because she has probably the worst taste, or lack thereof, in alcohol possible. All she drinks is cheap and horrifyingly sweet white wines. The ones that taste like plastic and sugar.

The problem with coffee is that it isn't beer.

I tried something new today. I bought a Kona blend (from Hawaii) of coffee and made it a little less strong than I do my typical Starbucks blonde roast. Then I put one tablespoon of coconut oil and one tablespoon of heavy whipping cream in it. Was actually pretty good, but tomorrow I'll have to stir it up a bit better because the last third of it was too bitter. It also made me go like nobody's business lol. If you're ever constipated, coffee with coconut oil and heavy whipping cream is a great cure. I didn't even finish the cup the first time I had to go. Then I had to go a second time after about 15 minutes or so.

What's coconut oil? Like the milk or from the pulp? I'm thinking the pulp.

But ya Kona has good coffee and is a really nice area as well. Beautiful over there.

Kona coffee lacks a real good kick, which is a bummer. But nice and mild and perfect for when you want something after dinner, but don't want to be up all night.

He parked under a bridge and was fishing, even though rule 1 with the lake is you don't stop under a bridge. He also didn't have lights showing which way he was facing. This is at 6:30 in the morning, so before the sun came up. Lights are kind of important.

Long story short, he was where he wasn't supposed to be and the coxswain couldn't see him. We T-boned the guy and his kayak flipped. We had to flag down another team's motor boat to help the guy out of the water, despite the string of expletives he was throwing our way. Real ball of sunshine, him.

It was almost entirely his fault, and the funny part is this isn't the first time we've hit the guy. Last time was last semester, and it was a similar situation. The guy didn't have proper lighting, it was dark and early, and since our lake is run like a road with traffic going either way, he was sitting across the lane and we plowed into him. He didn't flip that time.

You'd think the idiot would learn his lesson at some point.

Always keep a large drum and viking helmets in the boat. If you see the guy out there again, put on the helmets and have the coxswain beat the drum ferociously as you sail over to the guy. Then board his boat, rape any women in sight, take all his fish and do as Protein said.

Right? Smiley: lol

As far as Kona coffee being okay to drink at night, I suppose that depends on what kind of roast it is. if it's a dark roast Kona, that's probably okay. I got the Kivu brand that Kroger/Fred Meyer sells, and they had it marked as a light roast, which is why I got it. Light roasts have the most caffeine, so you definitely don't want to drink it at night lol.

Xsarus, ask Timelordwho if you really want to know.

And I'm curious, what's the most you guys have ever paid for a concert ticket? Because the 2 Roger Waters tickets I mentioned above were a combined €170 ($218.65) Which I have to admit is somewhat of an insane price but then again it's Roger Waters performing The Wall and how often are you going to see that?

Just ticket prices or all factors? Because at this point I think I'd only really go to the Viva Ska Vegas concert, and that's like $20 a VIP Ticket, but then I'd have to get to Las Vegas, then stay for at least a day or two, and not like I'm not going to gamble a little and who knows what else ...

I've paid 1600 DKK (approx €214 // $270) for a ticket to the Roskilde Festival a couple of times, but to be fair, that includes free access to all concerts for a week. I don't remember what I paid for the Muse concert, but I think it was somewhere between 300 and 500 DKK (€40-60 // $50-80).

Yeah, my dad could pass for 40-45 and he's a couple weeks short of 60, my grandmother from my mom's side is still active although her memory is starting to get worse (at 79 though) and my grandparents on my dad's side are really old now but they're both 88 and they didn't start to go downhill much until the last few years.

It's nice knowing I probably won't have to worry about losing my hair for the next 25-30 years when some of my peers are already balding.

I can't remember the last concert I've been to, so it was probably about $50ish bucks. Unless you count Broadway/Off-Broadway type musicals and such, at which point I could say about $90. The Producers, Lion King, Avenue Q, a lot of good shows.

My genes are awesome. My behavior not so much. Kind of like taking a Ferrari and driving it offroad.

The most I'd pay for a single show is definitely less than I'd pay for a music festival, assuming the festival was actually worth going to.

I think the total cost needs to stay below $100 for me, unless I REALLY want to see the artist. But I can only think of one or two where I'd want to see them that badly, and they aren't major artists so their tickets are cheap as it is.
