Skinny people who don't exercise become thin-fat, or "tynd-fed" as it's called here.
Please "talk up" if your comprehension white-shifts. I will use simple-happy language-words to help you understand.
Does that actually surprise anyone? I mean, you can be skinny all you want but if your muscles resemble wet toilet paper because you only sit behind the PC you're probably in pretty terrible shape compared to the middle aged guy with a bit of a beer belly who plays tennis and cycles regularly.

Mostly just weight obsessed people from what I've gathered. Also when older a little extra weight seems to help it take longer for you to waste away so to speak. A bonus when you're recovering from some 'life-saving' surgeries and other stuff too apparently.

I may just be biased because my dad's got a bit of belly but even at 60 he's still doing fairly physical work and up to a few years ago he used to play hockey twice a week and volleyball once a week. He also looks a good 10 years younger than he is (although not really going grey and/or bald much helps that)
Edit: @Pigtails, move back to Eugene. You'll have a bit more rainfall than I do here and I cycle everywhere within about 10 miles.

Yeah, it'll go from having a sh*t-ton more, to just a bit more. Eugene isn't too bad with rain. Very rarely do you get torrential downpours, mostly it's just sprinklings or light rain. There were a few days in Nov. where we had 10 inches of rain a DAY down here. I've never seen rain that hard before in my life. Also, my goal is to get back up to Eugene towards the end of next month. So... 5 to 6 weeks.

I mean, duh. To lose weight, you need to take in less calories than you burn every day. It's simple math, and it's definitely easier to cut calories out of your diet than it is to just burn more.

Technically it's not mine, it's the universities. I have to put up with periodic weirdness if I want to access my e-mail; which I ironically don't. It also runs an antivirus program that never finishes. It starts once a week and scans the drive but never completes before the next one starts. It's a downward spiral after that. By the time 3 or 4 of them are stacked up scanning different parts of the drive the computer gets annoyingly slow and I have to reboot.

I so want to go there. Just so I can say I ate four days' worth of an average person's calories in one sitting.
That Heart Attack Grill place sounds disturbing. I think there's a huge difference between "accepting people as they are" and encouraging people to slowly kill themselves by letting anyone who weighs over 350 lbs. to eat there for free.

I got sick yesterday. Merry @#%^ing Valentine's Day to me. Running a slight fever, body aches, sore throat and headache. I'm more mad that this is @#%^ing up my diet/lifestyle change than anything else. I'm doing my best to still eat healthy, but it's a lot harder to eat fresh fruits and veggies when you don't feel good.

I personally think it's stupid to not be able to buy alcohol of any sort of Sunday. If people are religious and don't want to drink alcohol on Sunday, more power to them. I don't think it should impact me though. And I'm not a big drinker at all. I'm confused, are you for or against this Aeth? I would think you would be against it, but the way you phrased it sounds like this woman was arguing against it and you disagree with her.

I was asking why it was such a big deal. I'm used to stores being closed on Sundays so I don't get what the fuss is all about. I do personally think that people should have at least one day of rest a week and I'm ok with that being Sunday for most people.

In Oregon it's not a big deal. We can't buy booze in grocery stores anyways, we have to go to liquor stores and our one liquor store down here is closed on Sunday. We can go into any grocery store and buy beer or wine any day of the week. Or order liquor in any bar or restaurant any day of the week.
My limited experience with this was when I lived in Oklahoma for a few months and on Sunday you could not order any cocktail in a restaurant. You could have beer or wine, but not any liquor. I would frequently forget because I didn't grow up there, and it always annoyed me. Then it was a religious law, and THAT was what irritated me.
