Nope, it's some native american word for noise. His mom's owner named the entire litter and I figured it fit him so I didn't change it. He does tend to make a lot of noise anyway.

Also, it's snowing outside.

Not snowing here...or at least, not anymore. According to facebook it was snowing about an hour ago, but it rarely sticks for long down here. Not cold enough, and the salt from the ocean air melts it.

I somehow managed to get a zit on my elbow. I don't believe I've ever had a zit there before. Weird...

Also, I need to follow some calligraphy classes or something... I tried to hand draw some letters for a logo today, that sucked even with the help of Illustrator.

I saw this on one of my favorite TV shows. It's called "My Cat From Hell" and it's on Animal Planet. I don't have a cat, but I love animals and I enjoy watching this show and Dog Whisperer.

Cesar Millan looks the part of a Dog Whisperer; Jackson Galaxy has an awesome look but not what I'd have expected for a cat guy. But his show is very compelling.

Declawing is so very very wrong. Cats run on their claws so declawing is like cutting of the toes on a human all because you can't be arsed to buy nail caps or didn't teach them not to see your hand as a toy.

I freaking love that show. SOOO many people seem to think that cats are just easy pets. They aren't. If anything, they are way more complicated than dogs, because they're more difficult to train since they're so independent. And so much of cat care is just common sense. If your cat growls at you when you do something to it, don't do that. If your cat scratches your furniture, supply it with something it can scratch. I don't think people realize that scratching is a biological need for cats. It's like chewing for dogs.

I bought the first one on steam cause it was cheap, alongside GRID. Then figured out I really suck at playing racing games with a keyboard so bought an xbox 360 controller only to ignore grid and play AC (although it feels waaaay better with controller). The controller also gives me the option to properly play emulated PS1/2, NES, SNES, N64 games etc.

It's the bottom right one for the Xbox controller (RT) so not actually a real button.

It's probably just one of those games I didn't put enough time into. I'm pretty sure I was still playing WoW at the time I bought AC2. And WoW took up way, way, way too much of my life back then.

Personally, I always took a break from WoW for a week or two every time an AC game came out because they were that good.

This is reminding me that I still need to work on AC3. Dammit.

AC1 is by no means necessary for 2. 2 is necessary for the following sequels (up until 3). 3 is a standalone, though Desmond's story won't make any sense if you haven't played all of them (his story is a very small part of the game, though it's the overarching story).

I strongly recommend playing all the AC games in a marathon event here during the Christmas/New Year break from work/school/whatever, and then posting about anything weird that might happen as a result.

Need to see if this bleed-over effect thing can happen to anybody. Last time I did an AC marathon, I spoke English with an Italian accent for a week after.

Edit: By the way, I found myself in a situation today where a 12-year-old girl broke down in tears because she was being teased by a notorious troublemaker in the class. The hell are you supposed to do about that? They don't teach you that stuff at the teacher's college. It was awkward as hell. And I had to put on my other hat as well, for the first time since I started my internship. The serious business hat. Was not pleasant, but sometimes you've got to put down your foot and teach them to respect your AUTHORITAH! I have a very long fuse when it comes to kids, but after telling the same four boys to shut up while I was talking - to no effect - I decided that the friendly, understanding, funny teacher hat wasn't doing the trick. Fortunately, my mother's side of the family graced me with a booming voice, so when I started making the windows vibrate, it was like someone froze time for a couple of seconds as the kids all snapped to attention and were like "oh shi-"

Good times. And now it's holiday time, so I'm going to kick back and have myself a beer. Good job, Maz.

Edit 2: The Desmond story picks up in AC2 and its sequels. I recommend playing through AC1. There are some cool twists later on that relate to AC1, and you'll be playing as Altaïr in one of the sequels, which I imagine is confusing if you didn't play the original.

Do all your companions suck? Because not does Lydia seem terrible at sneaking, but she insisted on lighting the torch in her inventory once it got dark out. She's completely messing up this stealthy thief/archer thing I had going on. That and refusing to jump off a waist high ledge and instead running all the way around and leaving me waiting for like 2 minutes...

Also, got the logitech controller working finally. Button 7 was indeed the RT button. I don't know why it wasn't working before, but I got it working now.

Yeah they should. Eating healthily makes people happier so even if you don't feel hungry, make an effort to eat anyway. Also psychologist if you don't have one yet.

Exercise. Seriously. It gives you endorphins which make you feel good, and generally speaking exercise usually helps improve one's feelings of self worth. No one can help you learn how to love yourself. that's something you have to figure out on your own.

How often do you exercise? This isn't me being a prick, but similar to what Pigtails is saying, exercise improves mood and increases your hunger.

Exercise, contrary to what many people think, is a human necessity. If you don't exercise, you're actually going to feel sh*ttier than if you did. Even if it's to go on a long walk during the day, it will be better than sitting on your ass feeling like sh*t about yourself.

I know literally nothing about you because I'm a self-absorbed prick, but 99% of the time when people talk about hating themselves and having a bleak outlook on life, they really don't need to.

My outlook is pretty simple: if I'm healthy, have a roof over my head, and food to eat, I'm doing pretty well and don't really have too much to be upset about because it could be a whole sh*tload worse than it is now (i.e. I could be starving, could have an incurable disease, could be homeless, etc). It sounds kind of stupid, but when you think about it like that, you're a lot more thankful for even the simplest things you have.
