Oh, I read that as the amount of caffeine they find being an issue and was terrified because I frankly don't need another barrier in my job hunt.

Side note, I met with a headhunter today. We talked about how important showing integrity in your resume is.

And then he told he he'd put feelers out with his connections at MTV and Fox News.

Yeah I don't have integrity.

Work nights I usually get around 5-6 hours of sleep. If I don't have to get up in the morning any where from 7 - 10, also I nap on days I don't work.

Not enough people understand the power of naps. If I nap for a half hour in my car on a work day I am way more productive the rest of the afternoon. And if I nap for an hour on the weekend, I can drink way more beer the rest of the afternoon.

I don't understand why my wife doesn't get it.

For me, it really depends on what shift I'm working. If I'm working a 7am shift, I usually will get 5-6 of sleep, because I have a really hard time sleeping before midnight. If i'm working a 11am or 3pm shift, I usually get 8ish. Not always, but usually. It's one of the things that I really hate about not having a regular schedule. A few years back when I took my second year of French over the summer, I had little issues acclimating to starting school at 8am, because it was 4 or 5 days a week and it was consistent. If I have my manager's work schedule, where she has to be at work at 6:30am 5 days a week, I could probably acclimate to that fairly easy too. But it's impossible for me to acclimate to being a morning person without that consistency, because I'm just not a morning person. Usually when I plot out my school schedule, I make sure none of my classes start before 10.

If I'm working Morning shift, I usually sleep from around 2 am -5 am. Afternoon shift I sleep from 5 am - 12/1 pm. and Nightshift is usually 8 am to 3pm. Getting three hours a night while your working your *** off is brutal. If I'm working Dayshift I usually spend about 12-14 hours a day sleeping on the weekends.

Doing it 4 days a week, while working a physically demanding job, almost killed me. Blacking out while you're holding a 150 lb TV is not fun. Woke up with the TV on top of me and some co workers trying to get it off.

Edited for pure English fail.

I did 3 hours a couple weeks ago. I dealt with it by actually taking my ADHD meds that day. Hadn't taken them in about 3 or 4 months lol. I forget what happened when I got home. I probably crashed... That was an 8 hour day too! It's bad enough going on 5 hours of sleep when I only have to work for 5 hours.

Someone, somewhere linked to a speech Arnold gave to a graduating class and I watched it. It was the slimmed down version (five minutes, I think) and his speech is definitely motivational. He discusses his six rules for success.

He talks about working hard and notes that if you sleep late there is someone out there who is learning something or building something while you sleep. So, he says to sleep no more than six hours a day. Then he says that there will be people who feel six hours is not enough. His answer to those people, and I'm paraphrasing, is "Well, I recommend you sleep faster."

It made me laugh. If only it were that easy.

Bon voyage, Xsarus.

I agree with Theo, though, not so much because of the food. Can't stand the heat. If I ever were to visit the States, I'd want to visit the east coast more than the west coast. Really, really want to see Maine, especially in Fall. It sounds like here, except... grander and less flat.

Also I love indian food and am hoping to only get sick once, although I will of course try to not get sick at all.

I'll probably even post here every so often, because I don't have a life :D

I don't. He tried to convince me to send you spider pics. I told him that if he wants you to see spider pics he'd have to send them himself. Guess he listened.

Also, scrap what I said. Denmark's highest point: Møllehøj - 170.86 meters above sea level vs Netherlands' highest point: Vaalserberg - 322.7 meters above sea level (unless you count Mount Scenery at 877m because that is part of the Netherlands, just a faraway part) and you guys don't even get this either.

tl;dr: Flat country is FLAT.

923m? That isn't a mountain. That's a hill.

I have freaking mountain ranges to the East and West of where I live.

My brother also lives in the foothills of the Rockies (Boulder, CO), so... That's not really a mountain in any way to me. It's a big hill.

I can get a bottle of this, but from 1993.

Too bad it would cost me €76,21...

I'll pass on those but it's kinda cool that they're selling quite a big part of a vertical with the beer from '93, '96, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2011 and 2012. Although the €250 and a bit it'd cost to get all of them is a little excessive. Still, 19 year old beer...

I watched the first Twilight movie on Wednesday. This has inspired me to write a book with a much better female protagonist. Someone who is more like Hermione and more heroic and happy in general. Also, someone who isn't so obsessed with her stalker control freak boyfriend. Or rather, she's just gonna have better taste in men.

Please don't write a book about a Hermione-like character.

I honestly couldn't think of a more annoying protagonist, even including Twilight. At least whatsherface is bland, not irritating.

A good female protagonist would be someone like Starbuck from BSG, or Zöe from Firefly. There are tons of great examples, but Hermione is a prime example of a girl who would be annoying as anything other than a complementary character.
