Dunno if it's the stalking scene I'm thinking about. I'm thinking of the one where she goes to school, walks home, talks to friends, drives in a car and nothing happens. A good 15-20 minutes of movie time where literally nothing happens except for some moments where you might be afraid that he's hiding behind a hedge, but it turns out to be nothing.

Granted, it was late at night when I watched it, but I remember switching channels because it was so oddly boring in the middle of a horror movie. Came back a while later and she was still just walking around in the neighborhood.

I like when horror movies do that--it establishes the person (victim) as a real human being with a life and connections. It makes you care about the victim, which makes the latter half of the movie far more suspenseful (imo).

Also, I wouldn't say that the scene you are talking about is in the middle of the movie. The first half is pretty much establishing the characters, the back story, and their relations. The only overtly creepy thing to happen is that he murders a dog and places it on his mother's grave (which is really just intended to add to the building fear).

All the movies that bother to make you care about the people are the ones that stick out in my memory, because you get emotionally invested in whether they live or die. That's what many modern horror films fail to do. When it's a bunch of random people getting killed off, I'm not emotionally invested. Half the time I end up rooting for the killer, because the characters are annoying and their stories are shallow...

*grumbles* You'd think that on the week of my birthday, I'd get a drop in raid, but nooooo. We got Alys down at least, and got in a few cracks on Majordomo. Damn he's easy. In four attempts we got him down to about 25%, but then we ran out of time so we had to call it. The cloth pants dropped off of Alys, and someone else won them. Ordinarily, that wouldn't have bothered me, but this guy was coming in as an alt. He ran the rest of the fights with us on his pally for tanking, but we were struggling on Alys, so he came in on his shadow priest and then won the pants. I know if it had been me, I'd give an upgrade to someone's main over my rarely played alt, but oh well...

She's also still young enough to celebrate birthdays.

I know, but it still sucks. Although I did get some upgrades on my DK tonight. Did a BH and got the 378 tier pants in there, and then did a BWD and got a nice belt. Still, I'd rather get upgrades on my main. =x

Heh, well I still don't know when I'm getting my presents. Haven't heard much in regards to scheduling. And in addition to that, I got a visit yesterday from a certain annoying Aunt which will probably postpone both of those for around 5-7 days. -.-

I just spent a good 10 hours playing Mafia 2 while eating ravioli and drinking beer.

Man, I love the late 40's, early 50's. The music, the clothes, the cars. Not to mention, everyone was smoking everywhere and no one gave a damn.

Also, mafia games are awesome. Makes me wish I'd been born in Little Italy so I could walk around and say "Forget about it!" and "You have to do what you have to do, capiche?"

Mafia 2 is awesome. I kept failing on one mission last night over and over again, maybe like 10 times total. When I finally got through the shooting in that mission, I drove fullspeed into a wall by accident. After that I called it a night.

Yeah, the checkpoint system was a pain. So often I'd barely make it and then get run over, or drive into a wall, or have the police shoot me for something silly.

Protip: If the police pulls you over and wants to fine you, don't stop in the middle of the road. Some ******* drove into my car which then bumped into the police officer who promptly arrested ME for it. And I was about to finish a mission. Smiley: facepalm

Yeah, sometimes being a woman sucks balls. I am so ready to get back on hormonal birth control so I can skip periods when I want... just have to wait for Obama's no copay for birth control thing to go into effect.

So I got laid last night. New guy, and it's amazing finding someone who you haven't done much with, who can play your body like a fiddle. That was fun! What wasn't fun, was giving myself a chemical burn on one of my armpits from depilatory cream before the date. Next time I use that stuff and it starts to burn, I'm taking it off immediately.

Seriously though, they had sterilizations covered under that too ya? Turning off the spigot for free sounds awesome; stuff like that can get pricey.

We've finally managed to have sex.

Previously my libido would only show itself for a maximum of 5 minutes at a time; it's a shy creature sometimes.

Oh, and Pigtails, that's awesome! Are you actually looking for another relationship possibly, or is this just casual fun?

Just casual fun. The poly world is an interesting place. He's the ex-husband of a friend of mine, who tried to date J for about a month, but they didn't end up being a good match. She's been trying to get us together for about two months though. He's just a bit on the shy side and I'm too passive for my own good. So it took us a little while for things to get going. =x

@protein: I'm not entirely sure tbh. You should google that ****.
