I do, but I also scroll to the top to the page to go to a different forum, or to see who's on. That means going past that wonderfully distorted smile.

*shudder*

That's at the bottom of the page too. Smiley: tongue

That's crazy talk. I don't know how you people get away with posting such obvious lies.

Smiley: um

If I enjoyed trolling, I'd just post the picture on the next page as well.

It wouldn't be as disturbing if the picture had been taken 20 years ago.

Bon Jovi was awesome on friday, althought it was raining more or less throughout the set.
But when they played their last song (Livin' on a prayer :D)it started raining like hell.
I was soaking wet and of course I missed the train by about two minutes, half an hour for the next one.
So it was too late to go out partying when I got dry clothes on finally.
But on saturday we went to a nightclub, where there was of course dancing on tables and such.
I think I burned as much money that I could've bought Assassin's Creed 1 AND 2 with that money.

Aaron McGruder is hilarious in general. Its like he actively mocks the hardcore aspect of black culture. I'm pretty sure he's just trolling, and it works.

Fun observation:

Last night was a typical night for us. Wife slept from 9:00 to 2:30 when I brought the baby in. Little one was fussy until 3:30, and I slept from 3:30 - 9:30 when I got up and went in to work. We both got our typical 5-6 hours of broken sleep. Anyway we were talking about the baby to people at a family/friends BBQ on Saturday. I'm getting all kinds of sympathy for the hours I'm putting in taking care of the baby; and the Mrs. is getting all kinds of guilt for her hours and the amount I'm helping.

So yes, its 2011 or whatever year it is now, but double-standards are alive and well it seems.

Smiley: disappointed

God forbid both parents actually invest equal amounts of time and effort into raising their children.

Seriously. That really sucks Protein. I don't have kids, so I haven't experienced that sort of thing directly, but I definitely can sympathize with being the victim of double-standards. =x It's really lame.

Yeah it kinda really sucks. Not that mind getting praised or whatnot, that's all appreciated. Still it's hard to see your wife put out more effort than you and get a guilt trip as a reward. I mean I realize there's a lot of live-at-home-yet-absentee fathers out there in the world and all, but it's not 1955 anymore people. Smiley: rolleyes

Actually was reading this at like 3:30am Fathers Day with the little one in one arm, and a bottle in the other. I couldn't help but agree. Smiley: lol

My brother in law is one of those dads. He can barely manage to watch my niece alone long enough for my sister to take a shower. She can ONLY go out if my mother is watching the baby.

And now they live with my parents, so the addition of grandma means he never does anything alone with his daughter.

I just don't get it. You choose to have kids. Or, at the very least, he did. Why become a father if you have no intention of actually parenting?

Yeah, that's an awesome article. Out of curiosity, is your wife a SAHM? She still deserves a break, but if she works outside the home too, then your friends and family giving her a hard time deserve even more of a butt kicking.

My dad had trouble finding work when I was growing up, so I have quite a few awesome memories of him from my childhood. He pretty much raised me until I was a teenager, so that's probably why I'm so weird. =x Something my mom and I used to do to him that was really funny, was if he fell asleep in front of the tv in his recliner, he'd often start to snore. So we'd dig out the nail polish and paint his toes. Most of the time it'd take him a day or two to even realize we'd done it. And one time he answered the door in his bare feet and purple toe nails to one of his firefighter buddies lol.

Could just be me, but it seems like that is a much larger issue with dads and their daughters. The type of men who don't want to invest that much time in their children, also tend to be the type who want sons. They want to pass on their legacy or some stupid **** like that. More than likely, they'd pay at least some attention to a son, but daughters aren't worth the time.

You're evil Pigtails. :D

And I definitely agree about the working thing. I don't get how society expects women who work full time to also:

-Make all the meals
-Keep the house neat/clean
-Raise the children

Like, no. That's ridiculous. The kids alone are a 24/7 job until they start going to school. And even that is only a few hours off a day.
