I'm close to getting into the top 150 posters.

I think I'll do it by end of the month easily.

I'm afraid to look at the list. The young ones have spammed a lot lately and I feel like I've dropped a few places.

Also, I deleted my Death Knight and started a new. Silly, yes, but I did it to accomplish two things:

1) Race change
2) Starter armor for when transmor-thingy gets patched in

Now I'm frantically trying to level it up to 85 in time to do Brewfest so I can get that stamina trinket. I'm already looking at having to farm 16k gold so I can buy those damn Scales of Life. Apparently people have been hoarding gold the entire last expansion on Kazzak and nobody told me.

I pooled all my gold together on my new DK and he's floating at around 200g right now, with ~300g invested in the AH. I sure hope Blacksmithing is somewhat profitable at later levels... Smiley: um

Took a practice GRE today. Did very well on math, less well on verbal. I expected the opposite (though I REALLY disagreed with some of their reasoning, particularly one where they used a logical fallacy to justify their response). Also found myself hurting because all the passages were things I knew about already, and I failed on making sure my answers were only limited to the information provided by the text.

Worst part is that I did 20 points better than the next top scorer in my apartment, and we made a pact that whoever did best would buy the drinks. >:(

Though, on that note, pumpkin ale is kinda tasty.

*sigh* I am so tired... Spent about 12 hours yesterday and today working on the house: getting packed, cleaning, etc. One more day to go but hopefully it won't take 12 hours tomorrow. I want to raid tomorrow damn it!

Scratch that. J thinks we're in the clear for cleaning tomorrow. No gas money, and he and his brother are getting the last load of stuff from the house as we speak.

I went to see a movie this weekend. Watched that Lars von Trier's Melancholia. I liked.
Anyone else watched it?

Also, I had a really light and cool beer. Called Amstel Pulse. Also, dutch.
Although I dont love light beers, this one was pretty tasty.

No it's totally true, it just changes slowly. I'd give you another few hundred posts at most.

My hometown was founded by pirates. Well, actually, it was founded by the Dutch and then later populated by pirates. Which just seems fitting.

They were, on the surface (and in the winter months) whalers. But there's only a very small period where whaling was possible, and it wasn't nearly profitable enough to let them survive the year. Plus, the settlement was founded based on the inlet between the local island and the mainland, which allowed for a decent port in the bay (though the waters were still turbulent--just significantly less so than the ocean).

And farming wasn't really an option--the settlement was founded between the ocean and the pine barrens. The ocean areas were pretty much all sand, devoid of nutrients. The pine barrens' soil is extremely dry and lacks phosphorous, with a high PH.

Plus, there was that whole revolution thing going on. So they started robbing British supply vessels. Well, I say "start," but it's highly likely they were doing it before that and just adopted it as part of their revolutionary identity. And it's also likely they didn't stop after the war was won...
