Just did Void reaver
i held him all the way down to 34%
and picked him back up at 25% till he died
the 2 other warriors couldn't beleive it
they were extremely worried about letting me tank him
thinking i wouldn't be able to keep up on threat

After downing Kael'Thas for the first time last friday, and with some frankly pointless attempts on Rage Winterchill with the 21 people we had Hyjal attuned last week, we one shotted Kael tonight with a significant number of new people! (Strictly speaking it was not a one shot for the week, the guild spent all night wiping last night, but I wasn't there...)

The night was young, with a good raid and everyone hyjal attuned, so spirits were high. Sure enough, a oneshot on Rage Winterlol (his tactics are no more advanced than a heroic boss, though there was much grumbling about needing a pvp trinket for a pve encounter.)

We moved on to Anetheron, after some scrappy trash we had a 20% wipe, due in part to the infenal tank going for too much FR and letting his def drop enough to be crittable. I was his main healer and he died on an unlucky string of crits while I had carrion swarm. Lesson learned, and with a little more def and a little less FR we pulled off a comfortable kill, despite a late scare where the infernal tank got sleeped and the MT became infernal target at the same time towards the end.

Unfortunately quiet on the loot front, I was in the frame for both Kael's Orb and the Bastion of Light, but when the bidding went sky high I chose to keep my dkp in the hope of T5 Legs and/or Helm tomorrow. I (belatedly, given we first got VR in June) picked up T5 shoulders on wednesday, I am still not sold on em but I think with two epic gems (the heal-crit ones from ramparts) next patch they will be a good upgrade on the Morogrim ones I am using now.

This was the first time I have killed two new 25 man bosses in the same week, let alone the same night, let the good times roll!

I respecced prot to replace my guild's regular prot pally (who's having some RL trouble and is consequently off WoW for a bit) and successfully tanked SSC trash all the way to Tidewalker's murlocs, which I thought was quite good for a newly respecced pally who hasn't tanked anything since BRD :P

Then half the raid got disconnected so I ended up tanking my first heroic too (SP if anyone cares). Man, I forgot what a lot of work tanking is, especially when you're slightly undergeared and have T5 dps nubs pushing you to the limit...

I got some good ones out of Kara this week.

1) Tanked 3 skeletal ushers at once w/o losing aggro a single time.

2) Tanked Moroes + all 4 adds at the same time.

3) Held Prince through 30% of his HP against 3 people over 800 DPS... without Righteous Fury because I'm a nub.

Also, my main is a lock and I ran a Kara on him. Managed to put up around 5800 DPS on Curator for the 10 or so seconds he was Evocating. Actually 3 of us did... one of us died.

Yesterday I tanked Anatheron in Hyjal on my prot pally alt. :) The server was bein all wacko and the guy who was supposed to tank him disconnected in the middle of the wave right before the boss, so I had to take over.

It was exciting. :)

did kara last night and got good upgrades. got the necklace off moroes, despair from opera and the badges i needed for a new cape. glad to be one of only 2 melee dps, so i have little to no competition for anything thats an upgrade for me. the other melee is an epic'd rogue so really not much overlapping need.

That. Can't. Suck. Enough.

I hope you get your stuff back, but 1,000 times more important, I hope you come back from duty safe and sound.

God-speed,

Just a QFT don't cut it, but I also hope that all works out for you bud. The gear, but most importantly that you will be safe. I pray for the troops safety all the time, and you will be no different. /salute

It was great, it was a welcome chalange form are Kara runs. Are healers actually had to pay attention to what was going on.

Yesterday i ground out the rest of my KoT rep to revered, and got the pants and glyph.

Tonight i managed to tank H Furnace for the daily, and got the last badges i needed for the Libram of Repentance.

Now i can drop at least some of my dodge gems to give my hp a needed boost.

Finally FINALLY

After hitting 999 Exalted with Kara rep. "Quitting" raiding. Coming back to raiding, finding a new raid team - I FINALLY saw my tanking pants drop on Curator. I'd just like to say, thank god for Druid tanks, I was the only one who rolled.

Seriously, what is the drop chance on those things? .7%?

I got them on like my 2nd or 3rd Curator kill with a Warrior getting them on my first kill. I see them often actually (well, often for a raid drop).

What alluded me was Nightbane's shield ... That thing NEVER dropped for me (except once when I was playing my Warlock), then recently I was in Grull's Lair and got the Aldori Legacy Defender. Just 2 nights ago, my second Kara on my Paladin since getting Aldori, Nightbane drops the tanking shield ... Go figure. Made a nice addition to our Holy Paly's tank set.

First full clear of Kara with my new raiding group, and I MTed every boss(except shade of course) including Nightbane which I've always been the debuff ***** for. No wipes except a infernal issue on Prince once.

Still need that damn shield.. My ridiculous amounts of math should not be in vein!

Had a few excellent Heroic runs the past weekend. Rarely any wipes and a ton of badges. Recently got revered in Honor Hold so I can finally get the helm thingy(forget the name of it). Seemed like a decent ring there too. Currently working for the Healing shield from badges.

Finally made my Deep Thunder, and got some arena 0.5 upgrades with the latest patch. =P Looking forward to making Stormherald when I get enough money to buy the Vortexes.

Since my last very long post the loot has rolled in. I got the sweet rotately healy mace from our first Kaz'rogal kill, then I picked up T5 legs and helm to briefly go 4/5 T5. Then I picked up T6 gloves on our second azgalor kill.

Despite having been in Hyjal for a month before the patch I only got BT attuned yesterday, so I now have my title and can be an elitist snob!

I have revived my tanking aspirations, I am now uncrushable and have offtanked Kara, i'm gonna try and MT again this week, looking forward to BT (we havn't been yet) in that regard as there are a number of pally tanking drops off the early bosses.

I took my pally into BG's last night for the first time after re-speccing to Ret. ( I was holy for over a year and have a +1500 ish healing set but wanted some variety )

I was very happy with the results! I was able to burst down and kill the crap out of people! With Pursuit of justice, the anti-movement seal, and BoF I was able to kill most kiting classes. I'd like to think I surprised a few people who did not expect me to hit them that hard. :)

May be wishful thinking but man was it fun!

Well, after getting a lot of crap from people about my male Blood Elf pally's name (which used to be Ilovepickles...) I changed his name to something a little more... meaningful. I was trying to find out a cool name for my... misunderstood paladin, and finally came upon something pretty cool. I used this: http://chriswetherell.com/elf/ , the elvish name generator, and put in my first and last name. After seeing that Findecano was taken, I decided to use my elvish last name: Linwelin. So now I'm working on my 31 Blood Elf paladin, Linwelin, and trying to get him to the 40ish level so he'll be able to do AoE grinding. Can't wait for him to get to 70!
