My guild and our Allied guild have been attempting Kara raids. Often they fall through completely, but when we make it, we always die and finish without killing the Maiden. Between yesterday and today, we killed Attumen/Midnight, Rokad the Ravager, Moroes, The Maiden, The Big Bad Wolf, The Curator, and beat the Chess event. Also over the course of all this, I recieved both the Worgen Claw Neck piece and the Bladed Shoulderpads of Mercilessness in addition to Finally hitting honored with Violet place so my ring became an epic upgrade. In short over 2 days I have received 3epics to replace blues and my guild has beaten 4 more Kara bosses than ever before. I felt this worthy of a post.

Downed Doomwalker last night, my guild leader picked up the Gilded Trousers of Benediction, and I won the roll on the Terrorweave Tunic.

Not really a big accomplishment, but this has been my single most important goal since I read about the encounter. My old server was the least progressed in PvE until recently (0 guilds even had Gruul on farm until a few weeks ago, every serious guild transferred), so I knew I'd never get a shot at this. My new guild, however, is pretty badass (one of the top horde guilds on Mannoroth), and we're now working on Kael'thas.

My accomplishment? Well, my performance in the raids I've been allowed in has earned me a spot on progression fights, and they had me in for every Kael'thas attempt yesterday (mostly because one of the regular Rogues was not there).

Screenshot of my character sheet while wielding Warp Slicer + Infinity Blade. 1072.9 white DPS, with a MH top end of over 1,000. I was consistently getting 2k SS crits.

On a related note, I was quite dissapointed to see that recycled item models were used. It's the Merc Sword for Warp Slicer, and Malch/TNB for Infinity Blade.

Dinged 70 on this (my first char) this weekend.
Bought flying mount.
Crafted & Socketed Fel Leather boots/gloves.
Got the epic stamina/ap ring from HH.
Got the Felsteel Knives for throwing (not much better than my sharp cookie, but whatever).
Went 4-0 in EotS... not because of my performance but nice to see horde winning.

Also, burst damage owns in crappy gear :( MS = dead warlock. I need that PvP CC trinket because teams CC'd me too much.

Created first Arena team. Went 2-8 (shoulda been 4-6 because of two disconnects, but whatever) despite having all greens, a couple blues, and a PvE spec. Partner was a Warlock that's a little better geared. We seem to win when it's a couple casters, but anything in plate just kills us quick. Also, anything in full epics kills us quick (damn new teams). Sitting at 1450 right now.

Fav Story: Just absolutely destroying a lock/spriest combo. their priest/our lock kept fearing each other, and i just absolutely owned the poor lock without instant fear. WotF'd one, kicked one, kidney shott'd one, kicked another, dead.

Respecced combat maces, despite still using dagger/sword because I just really wanted to try out maces :)

Got my rogue to 70 and started an arena team with a mage buddy of mine. We don't expect a whole lot since i'm in pretty bad quest/instance gear and he's in his crafted cloth gear, but hey it's points.

Not a huge accomplishment, but this is my 3rd toon(rogue) in outlands. Lvl 61, tried to get ramps groups, but they are nearly impossible for a rogue, since they are a dime a dozen on my server, and the majority suck. I read osiris's guide about how to be a good rogue(to get groups) and started making elixirs for the group, assisted more than DPS if it was needed, and generally played my class well in a PVE environment. The group loved me and said I should have tanked ramps (I could solo any of the mobs with cripp poison and kiting till CD's were up. I actually turned a near wipe into a clear by taking care of 2 mobs after the group all died.)

Eventually, ppl would actually whisper me and ask if I wanted to go to ramps or BF(I'd look in LFG and see 3 other rogues in it...sometimes a higher lvl than me, and I wasn't even in LFG)so groups were easy to get. The garrote string necklace never dropped, but the belt and bracers did. Woot for me.

The next day, I get asked to come to BF because the group couldn't find a tank...the closest thing they had was an enhancement shammy with a green "of the Tiger" 2hander. All of us were 60-61, with the shammy being 64.We did BF with no wipes, because I saw that the shammy couldn't take the hits well, so I would sacrifice my DPS for mob control, relying more on stuns and supplemental dmg(Bleeds) to take down the mobs while keeping our tank alive. On the last boss, the group died while the boss was at 10% so I blew my CD's and cold blood and killed the boss myself. Needless to say, I have to turn groups down now sometimes because too many ppl ask me to join their groups, sometimes while I'm in another group. It feels good to be usefull. I love mut spec and cant wait to take the sub points and put them in compat for the 41/20/0.

Also, my friend, another rogue, gets asked to groups with me. We talk on voice and have done so well together (we know each other irl and I taught him the moves as a rogue, so we know what the other is thinking and complement each other well, i.e., I open with CS, and he automatically opens with garrote, or my KS is on CD, so he knows I'm gonna gouge to get both our energy back up, so a split second before, he automatically stops DPS.)

So in summary, my big accomplishment is finally learning how to play the class and use it to support as well as just DPS, and actually being sought out for groups. Idk why you would care, but my armory is
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Jubei%27Thos&n=Dagoatlover

The spec may not be what most ppl go with, but its what I wanted, and I feel it works for me. Hell, after lvling from 20-40 in sub, any spec seems too easy and fast.I know the gear is crap. This is alt #9, and I've just recently replaced my lvl 31-40 gear. I still had the VC cloak with inc stealth enchant on it till this morning, but surprisingly, I still rarely lost or got killed. Not to sound cocky, but reading info from the more knowledgeable ppl here has made me a pretty good rogue I think. There are probably a few ppl I'm missing, but the ones that come to mind are Theo the sly and Osiris. BTW, the other rogue that I play with is in the same guild. Shankinyoazz

I don't even know if this is an accomplishment- dinged 265 LW and, at lvl 44, deemed myself high enough to venture through Searing Gorge to get Elemental spec.

Bought the mats in the AH. Figuring I would kill 3 birds with one stone (trip), I tried to buy enough mats for a Helm of Fire and the Blackstorm Leggings, in addition to the stuff needed for the quest.

Well...lemme just say [core of earth] is the most absurdly overpriced thing ever on my server. SO, roughly 130g later (Yeah- 130g!) in mats (and a few other small things) I have enough for all of that. I'm happy, i guess, but also super-broke and I feel like the AH had it's way with me.

Yeah...think of that. Thousands of items having their way with you. Some of them swords. Still...the worst would probably be the shoulder armor...be like birthing a gnome...

This may not be too amazing as I've only gotten to do a handful of 5-mans on my rogue thus far, but I'll go with what I felt as an accomplishment.

Ran the Blood Furnace not too recently, I didn't die a single time where the rest of the group either wiped or had to run out (I'm lvl 63 btw). For the most part I managed to keep the healer alive when he pulled aggro (as the tank and I were the only ones with a threat meter) with good stunlocking, blind, and my Gnome Net. Had aggro for only 50 seconds through the entire instance, topped the damage chart with more than 50% of the damage in there (the 64 mage didn't even come close) and got myself the Mantle of the Duskdweller, and got my epic ground mount right after I got out.

Good session in my opinion.

Haha.

I live in San Diego, so as you may have heard, God is pissed. The fires started a far distance to the east. Pretty quickly in about 12 hours it moved about 20 miles west, while still being north of us.

So we finally thought we were in the clear, since it seemed to be safely north of us. That's when the new fire started to the southeast, and slowly worked its way northeast to us. So there we were being virtually surrounded by fire.

We decided to drink heavily, walk outside in our bathrobes and all carrying a hose. In our other hands were bottles of wine. We decided to taunt any incoming flames that may decide to head our way.

But those flames knew better.

Keep in mind, when you die from periodic fire damage, there's no rezzing in the real world.

I know it's not that great but it is for me.

My rogue recently hit 30, soon to be 31 (less than a bub away) and i got 159 agi without chants, which i think is pretty nice. Just on the hunt for a nice OH sword for the combat sword spec (which i need to respec cause i picked up lightning reflexes instead of imp gouge and imp SS.

Noticed you were ally, and i was telling you to get an offhand from a horde quest so nevermind.

Ummmm...I don't even know of a decent offhand for ally rogues around that level...

Electrocutioner's Leg from Gnomer...seems to be the best available.

Went 8-2 in my 2's tonight....finally toppled my personal goal of 1800, and up to 1824. With only 1 piece of Vet gear and 1 piece of S2 gear.

Rogue/Priest is completely and utterly OP...and I love every second of it. XD

Edited for clarity.

I thought of that one too, but when i was checking swords i saw it was MH only :(

So i'm thinking i might go Daggers till 40, after all level 40 is when it starts getting hard, and more swords are available then.

My first Kara drop!

One-shotted Attumen (as always), downed Moroes in two or three attempts (we wiped once because the mage didn't have a threat meter installed, so he kept pulling agro) and got his boots, but we ran into a wall at Maiden. We had 5 melee in the raid, and they just wouldn't listen to me when I tried to tell them to space out and stand back (that gal's hitbox is huge; Insert sexual pun here).

Not sure if it's well known...but i'll post it anyway and maybe it will help someone....saw something interesting on Maiden. If u have only 2 melee on her she never crits and does a low damage. If u have 3 melee it almost doubles her chances of criting and she hits much harder. Tested it about 6 times...everytime was the same. What we usually do is either making sure that we have a tank and a rogue on her or if we have 3 melee the third one will join the fight when maiden is about 30%. If we have a warr he'll just spam execute when maiden is at 20%.

And since it's the accomplishment thread.......Worgen Claw necklace and Girdle of Treachery this week.
