Joined a new 2v2 tonight with the lock from my 5v5 team. We started around 1620 and went 5-5. Our hardest team to beat was anything with a warrior, especially war/pal. Still, there were a few fights against double DPS where they'd burn down my lock at the same time that we killed one of them, and it would turn into a 1v1. I won all three of those occasions. :D

You should be able to burn down war/pal pretty easily, spam DoTs on the warrior, put up CoEx on him to get BoF up, then switch it to the Paladin (or use tongues), felpuppy on the paladin, full DPS on the warrior.

BoP shouldn't even matter, TBH. If your lock can't keep himself up, then he's not geared enough, sadly.

Against double DPS, make sure he's using that CoEx and kiting. You should be peeling for him, too.

Hunter/pally will probably be toughest for you.

Downed Anetheron, and got Kaz to 35% on our first attempt, but a little late for everyone to finish. Our goal is to get at least a few attempts on Archi tomorrow if everything goes well.

It's been awhile since I've seen progression, and I'm pretty excited. :)

So after getting my first T4 gear ever (gloves) on Tuesday, I managed to acquire more stuff last night as well. Got the necklace off of Attumen, and the boots off Moroes.

I'm really excited that I'm finally able to get some gear and better myself. =)

Downed Lurker and Hydross last night. Wasn't my guild's first time doing it, but it was the first time that I had been there for it.

Also gave Leo a try...

The Talon of Azshara dropped, and finally I throw away my hated daggers and I'm very happy to be a combat sword/fist rogue. Now I just can't wait to have 105 badges for the MH fist...

Also, my guild downed Vashj after almost one month and half trying, and we are all very happy.

Grats on the talon, but I hate you now. Also grats on vashj. Are you guys moving on to kael now or hyjal/bt?

Probably moving on to Kael. He's last in progression towards MH, as his fight takes a wee bit more effort than Vashj.

Edit: In other news, 4/9 down in BT last night, all but Gorefiend one-shotted (I swear it was my first time doing him and I'm already better than half of my guild at the Constructs part); we're either doing Archimonde or Bloodboil tonight.

Wow Theo I didn't think your guild had progressed that far. Good luck tonight.

Yeah, we have, I've just not been raiding due to work.

It's summer now and I've got a few months of downtime, so I can finally raid again. BT actually isn't that boring, unlike Kara/Gruul.

ZA is incredibly fun, as well. My second time through we got the 4th chest, which was nice. I was even specced ShS at the time, so this Friday should be no problem to make the 4th chest.

Not sure if you're aware or not, but for a sword/fist spec to be effective, you need a fist MH, and a sword OH.

Yea I'm with a good group for our Kara runs, we finally have it chain-pullable. We are looking to run ZA soon, provided a few other members pick up a few gear items. I can't wait!

If you can chain-pull Kara, ZA should be a breeze. I doubt you'll be able to get the 4th chest, but with practice you can get the 3rd chest pretty easily, which drops some absolutely sick rings.

With practice and the right group, you can probably get the 4th chest in a few weeks of tries.

We've found 2 good healers works best (if they're really good, if they're not a chain healing shaman is usually needed as well). We generally run with a druid/paladin tank setup (great for multi-target pulls) and a druid/priest healer setup. Priest doesn't need to be CoH specced, but it kinda helps. Our priest is just insanely good.

(He beats a CoH priest in our guild by a good few % over the course of an entire night in terms of healing done.)

Exalted with Shattered Sun, so I got my new necklace today. I also got the shoulderpads from Kael'thas, so I had to juggle some gear around to keep the 2-piece T4 set bonus.

Still waiting for that damn trinket to drop. >.<

The one time the shoulders dropped for me I was in a group with another Rogue.

The other rogue got them.

There is a reason I flat out refuse to run instances with other rogues unless nothing I need drops from that instance.

Not to mention that the instance almost requires a mage. Warlocks are nice too (banish).

Actually that run was the smoothest I ever had. It was Rogue, Rogue, Feral Tank, Shadow Priest, Resto Shammy.

I run MgT with rogue/feral/warrior/ret/priest most of the time. Sometimes we put in a boomkin or resto druid instead of the warrior.

Yeah, we're that good. Smiley: grin

Back on topic: I sat out tonight while my guild wiped for 4 hours on Archimonde.

I was laughing with my priest friend about it in our private channel.

My brother (one of our feral druids) has been #1 on DPS and #26 (LOL) on amount of damage taken from the fire jets.

Yes, that's right, someone switched out their main and still took more damage than he did.

Still laughing at how dumb most of the people in my guild are.
