After going through a few guilds in the past few months, I joined one last night (after talking to leaders for about a week) that's comprised of basically all the old server-first raiders when TBC came out, who have recently come back to the game.

I was already saved to my last guild's kara, so I can't help the new guild finish tonight, and I missed Gruul's last night due to a bachelor party (not really sad about that Smiley: wink) that the new guild did with a few filler members of a fairly progressed guild on our server, but things are looking up =)

This is noob-sauce compared to everyone else, but its big for me. I got my first ever mount in WoW. I've been playing about a month now, and loving rogue and finally hit 40 (I had more than enough gold) and now I can move around faster.

Oh plus getting adrenaline rush was nice, that ability is sweet.

Nice, glad to see that guild is working out for you man. Once I get back into game next week, hit me up! If you guys need anything I think we sometimes have some extra subs on, and I'd always be more than happy to fill in for stuff like gruul/kara if I'm on and you need an extra rogue with some experience.

Another long one guys, but again worth it. Some of you will hate me though.

I was going to do a Heroic mana tombs pug, but after 2 wipes on the first boss our tank and healer bailed. I went into LookingForGroup to attempt to replace them (groups only happen if you do it yourself) and saw "need dps for pug gruul". I figured, "Ah, what the hell? At least I'll get to see Gruul's lair and get some experience raiding a 25 man for when my guild starts." So I pst the leader and got in on the raid.

Now, as a side note before I go on, kudos to anyone who ever ran effective 40 mans. I tried for the first 5 minutes to be tuned into the "bigger picture". I failed. Badly. By the time we got to High King, I realized that there was no way I could effectively do that. I ended up just putting my head in the game and just doing my rogue thing the best I could.

The high king was interesting, first shot we wiped (mainly because it was the first time for most of us) but finished with little incident the second try. He dropped the leather helm, and the other two (not rogue) legs. I roll on the helm and promptly got owned (I rolled a 7, a 100 roll won). We then proceeded on to Gruul. duh duh DUN

Most of us had never done it before, but the guild running it had us on vent and had a great leader issuing orders. The first attempt, we wiped at 56%. The second attempt got us to a mighty 37%, at which point the running guild were thrilled with their new best. The third attempt started great. We fought and fought and fought, and got him to 5%, at which point all, the tanks promptly died. The remaining raid got him to 3%, but the wipe was final. The forth attempt there was a miscommunication about the hunter's misdirects, so myself and three other dps were oneshotted in the first 10 seconds. Ouch

Attempt 5 was similar to attempt 1 and 2, eventually resulting in our demise. At this point many people have to go so they can go to work tomorrow. The remaining members decide that this is our last run of the night. After we get a bunch of replacements, we go time 6. It was a mighty and epic fight, worthy of legend in the oldest of scroll, retold from father to son for all of time.

We finally killed Gruul as a pug. Everyone I've talked to said this was impressive. He dropped some wrists, the pally legs.....and the rogue legs.

The rolls for the wrist came in, with me rolling a 1 (seriously, the first time I've ever even SEEN a 1) and lost them (d'uh). The rolls went for the pally legs, and then the rogue legs were up. All the rolls came in, mine a commanding lead of an 80. Then a 81 pops up.

My heart stopped. Completely.

Suddenly, another miracle occurred. The roller or the 81 said "jk, I'm a lock". I won the roll. I won the legs.

As I write this, I have just traded with the scryers for my legs. You guys have no idea how many times I've had to rewrite whole paragraphs of this because I keep hitting the wrong keys. My hands are shaking that much. I'm like a puppy at the pound, but I just got picked to go to a warm and loving home, with acres of green lawn. woot.

I also want to take another opportunity to thank everyone here. With all the knowledge I've gotten from reading these forums like a mad person, I wasn't even mildly unsure about exactly what I had to do.

So, in summary, this post marks roughly the moment where one week ago I dinged lvl 70. I have two peices of tier 4 armor. You guys all rock.

Thanks, we actually had Critalin members in for the Gruul's run, not sure who exactly, though.

The guild's comprised of the old Memoris Mortum and Funky Bunch players who have come back, so we have some experience under our belt =) I'll hit you up when I see you on

Great thread and gratz to all!

My Rogue accomplishment for this weekend is that(finally) got my medallion trinket. Two min cd and +Resilience ftw! As a casual player this has taken me a long time to get, and my Resilience is now at a lowly(but slowly climbing) 127!

It's making BG's much more fun, pretty much every fight now I can break out of a CC.

My guild just downed Vashj. I was benchwarming at the time, but still a pretty major milestone in BC progression. Working on Astromaner in TK now.

I was out in Netherstorm farming Primal Mana for some arcane resist gear when I got called into Kara a bit unexpectedly. By that, I mean I got a whisper from the raid leader saying, "hey, we need a DPS for Kara. Stop farming and come along."

We downed Shade of Aran, and completed the chess event (which is hella fun), but I have to get up early tomorrow for a test, so I didn't get to stick around long enough for Illhoof or Prince. Either way, I got a druid necklace for PvP (it has stam on it, and my current necklace does not), and more raiding experience. What's better is that, even though the rest of the raid pretty much vastly outgeared me, I was still #3 on the charts (yeah, I know, Shade is the melee fight, but I'm still happy with sticking so close to the other rogue).

Picked up the Humbert's helm, got nethercleft put onto my leggings, and picked up a ring from sfk. Also got crusader and +15 agil put on my torturing poker, and + 9 stamina put on my barbaric bracers. Now all I gotta do is get to 29 and do the quests for my chestpiece, gloves, and Arena Battlemaster. :P

I'm trying to get like 30-40k honor by the time 2.3 hits so I can at least get 2 pieces of s1 gear, if not 3 for the 10 energy bonus.

At 3k honor a day, I'll be set by the time s3 rolls around

I read there was a blue post, where they said players who have banked 75k honor might be able to get 3 pieces of S1 gear when 2.3 rolls around.

Might :(
