Finally we down Morogrim Tidewalker, finally [wowitem=30082]Talon of Azshara[/wowitem] drops, but another stupid idiot rogue with S2 sword so greedy and use his power dkp to bid and won me (which I'm still using Kara's paw).
What to say, I guess I got to continue waiting for 2 more weeks to get S2 sword. We 1 shot lurker, tidewalker, which is really amazing for our guild, that is the one happy thing I would like to share.

Finally got my shoulders off of chess, and I'm up to 200 hit(not bad for a Kara muti rogue, imo).
Still fail to get the chest off of Nightbane though. :P

T5 Helmet and no longer a recruit in my guild. Great night for me.
I recently got my [wowitem=29044]T4 Helm[/wowitem] and the [wowitem=28669]boots from shade[/wowitem]. After doing 2 full kara clears in a week I am a little knackered from kara...
We downed our first 25-man boss last night. I didn't get any loot out of it, but that's fine w/ me since I'd rather see progression.
Our first set of Gruul attmepts and we got him to 18%.
He kept one-shotting the rogues that were relatively low on the threat meter. Anyone have a reason why?

For gruul you need to have a tank 1st on threat and OT 2nd. Otherwise hateful(?) strikes will rape you. I have been hit by a 33K crit from gruul when our OT failed.
My greatest accomplishment made me laugh out loud. A lot. Its really nothing compared to someone finding Item X after X Weeks running X Instance or someone breaking a 1200 crit - but its my greatest accomplishment to day, and funny enough I decided to share it with my fellow rogues.
So I'm in Tarren Mills. For those of you that play PVE - on a PVP server (or on Blackrock at least) this is Hell On Earth. Constant raiding back and forth, ganking mid-quest - all in all fun times.
For one reason or another my guild master, a 54 mage at the time, was there as well. I'm a 33 rogue, Subtlety spec if that makes a difference (it probably does). So we see 'Tarren Mills is under attack!' and being PVP fanatics come charging toour deaths the rescue. We get there I see two gnome mages - including the dreaded Pink Haired Gnome Chick - and ask him 'What level are they?' He, who is 54 and can thus see up to 64, says 'I can't tell'. This probably means - confirmed later - they are both 70.
Peachy. But what the hell, the graveyard is right there and I don't take durability hits dying to players. So I stealth up to the non-pink one and pop sprint and leap into the air AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND.... wait for it...
Sap.
Holy **** it worked. I see this level 70 gnome mage standing there like an idiot with a purple swirly over his head. I couldn't believe it! He comes out 30 seconds later and slaughters me. I rez, run over stealthed and just for ***** and giggles hit him with Cheap Shot. Which also works, but that one isn't nearly as funny as seeing him charge into Tarren Mills intent on the destruction of the Horde only to be sapped by a mage 37 levels lower than him.
Shortly after that about a half dozen 70's got together and invited me and my guild master and we went on an allie slaying rampage. But that wasn't nearly as cool, for me, as sapping that 70 successfully.

Yes, we understand the hateful strikes concept. Regardless, our rogues are still getting one-shot when there are at least 5 other ppl higher on threat, and we cannot figure out why.
Ranged classes don't count so if they are 4-5th and 3-4 are hunters or casters then they are directly below the tanks as far as the strike is concerned.

Which is why we keep 3 tanks on him...ALL above us on threat. Hunters MD on the tanks whenever its up, and melee run out during cave-in, since our illustrious tanks dont feel like moving out of it.
Me and a priest took the first boss in heroic mech down from 10% to 0% with the rest of our group dead. Involved some ridiculous kiting, vanishing, and sword spec/combat potency procs.

You don't have to run out, just move to a different spot on Gruul. Cave in is very small.
Yea if a cave in is directly on Gruuls *** (180 degrees), you can move to about 100 or 260 and still be behind him and out of cave-in.

Seemed like wherever I moved on his backside I was getting hit for 2500. Hmmm.
There is more to gruul than what we've written here, and to a certain extent, what is known. I have been a victim to what you are describing and am not sure what causes it.
My favorite example is during a gruul fight I hit vanish at about 75%, then hit him with a backstab for about 2k....and got oneshot for 13k.
Theres more to that than meets the eye.

13k sounds about right for a Strike. So either huge bug, or no melee present?

i'm a 67 rogue, first 60+ toon almost 68 i have mostly outland instance blues only 3 greens(quest rewards) i guess that would be my biggest accomplishment. i tried out sub since i thought it might be better since 2.3...didn't last 24 hours i'm back to combat swords. i'm planning/hoping to hit 70 by the end of turkey-day weekend. then i start arena with my buddy (MS Warr 2v2). hopefully start raiding kara in two weeks. i guess Kara is the biggest hype for me since i'm not really a Pre-bc player so i've never raided anything bigger than Drek'thar in AV XD.

Meh,we downed him on our 2nd night of attempts. We were lacking some of our main DPS ppl, and I think we were down to 6 ppl when he dropped, lol.

Thank god...I was wondering when.
On another note, we were going to do Mag last night, but only had 1 lock on, so we decided to do Void Reaver instead. Surprisingly, I thought we did fairly well, getting him to 60%(nub recruits not having DBM) on our second attempt.
Had some problems w/ the first pull in his room w/ only 1 lock, so we wasted a lot of time on them before we got attempts in.
And I finally hit 1100 DPS. Go me.
Rival Salwrathis...yeah, I like the sound of that. XD
Leatherworking to 375. Time to start grinding primals and nethers for some Primalstrike goodness.
