Pretty simple idea.

Instead of everyone posting "hey guys check out xxx on my armory!" we're going to have this thread to post in.

You get a drop, respec, guild downs a new boss, post it here! We wanna hear about stuff like that!

Try not to rag on people in this thread for things they think are accomplishments; if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all (in this thread Smiley: laugh).

Try not to spam this thread, but congratulations will be in order for some of the things posted, so that's acceptable. Stories are encouraged.

So to start us off, I'll post my arena accomplishments of today.

First off, 1701 2v2 arena. My priest finally gets it. It's like that hallelujah moment, the sky opens up and sun shines down on the arena and you just run around steamrolling teams.

Story time about the game that got us to 1701.

So we enter the arena, and the first enemy that pops up on Proximo is a shaman. A resto shaman. Healer bane of all rogues, along with resto druids (@#%^ abolish poison, seriously).

Next pops up a warrior. MS, obviously. The clincher in this case? He has Stormherald.

Right away I'm telling my priest to LOS the warrior on the pillars (thank god we were in Nagrand) so he comes for me while I try to DPS down the shaman. I get him to blow NS on himself all the while my preist is running the warrior around the pillar.

Then the warrior gets fed up; his shaman is losing mana, he's not doing any damage, so he comes for me. I pop Evasion and switch DPS to the warrior. With SnD going, he's got a stack of wound poison and crip on him in the span of a few seconds and I get rupture going followed by a 5 point KS and with my priest healing me through MS, we get him down and then get the shaman down as he ran out of mana to heal the warrior.

Anyway, other than that I got to 1626 with my 3v3 (in 16 games). Looks promising, but I had a rediculous amount of fun tonight in 2v2.

edit: btw, here's a screenshot of what my honor pane looks like tonight. Smiley: grin

nice work, on a much smaller scale note I have been working hard on trying to get my resilience up for my pvp set. Last night I got my last honor piece putting me up to 350 resilience which is a benchmark I kinda set for myself about 2 weeks ago. Now to try and get that like 75k honor banked for 2.3

Grats on the resilience. I'm still sitting at 226, and currently I'm working on the arena points for a s2 shanker.

I'm trying to get like 30-40k honor by the time 2.3 hits so I can at least get 2 pieces of s1 gear, if not 3 for the 10 energy bonus.

At 3k honor a day, I'll be set by the time s3 rolls around.

I really like the idea of this thread. I just got my first character to 70 and into Karazhan, which was a huge deal to me. Feel free to scroll to the next post if you don't care, but its a good story.

I got a spot in the guild pug run (6 guildies, me, a rogue, priest, and a warrior. Important later) and on the first night the Blade of the Unrequited dropped from Romeo and Juliet. A non-guild rogue, guild hunter, and myself all needed it and so the loot master had us roll. The non guild rogue rolled a 6, I rolled a 87...then the guild hunter rolled a 88. I was understandably crushed (I was using a 64 blue dagger), but the hunter said it would be a bigger upgrade for me, and let me have it. We ended the night at curator due to time issues (early morning work).

The next night we have enough for a full guild run and we convene at karazhan ready to go. We go to jump in the side door...and go straight through the portal. No zone in, no nothing. After a brief wtf moment, we looked down and saw "Transition Failed: Instance Full". After considerable attempts to zone, two of us finally get in...and come face to face with eight members of another guild. Not just any guild though. The pug warrior from the first night's guild. They had decided it was easier to ninja our raid then do their own. They had the curator down by the time we got there, but had gotten no further.

After considerable heated debate with the guild, nothing was resolved. A stalemate was established due to the fact that we weren't going anywhere and they couldn't 8 man anything. The other guildy and I sat down somewhere out of the way and hit the space bar every 5 minutes for the next several hours.

The next day apologies were issued by the other guild (who is remaining nameless because of the apparent sincerity of the apologies) and our raid was allowed to progress. We wiped several times on Aran (we kept getting adds, blizzard, polymorph, and arcane explosion chained. urg) but eventually made it to the prince. We promptly one-shotted him (is he disproportionately easy for a final boss or is it just me?) with the only complication being the last infernal came down on his corpse, killing our master looter (lmao).

He dropped the rogue t4 helm.

There was myself, another rogue, and a shaman that needed it. As I was typing "I understand, I'm the new guy" into raid chat, a miracle happened. The other rogue said, "I'm an alt, so..." and the shaman said "It's not a huge upgrade for me..". With the phrase "take it noob" it happened.

I had my t4 helm.

The satisfaction of that event was incredible. After godamned months of pure solo leveling while clueless, I had a tier item. It was awesome.

Thats my story, I apologize if you read it all and were disappointed. I had not realized it was going to be that insanely long. As I said in my previous posts, this ia all thanks in a large part to you guys. This forum is a gold mine of wonderful info.

I also thank my awesome guild, who, in spite of the fact that we're small and not nearly to the standards of the other guilds on these forums, is an awesome group of people with a great atmosphere.

Fin

Edit: I learned to spell

My rogue alt is level 12! Smiley: tongue

One hot day in August, there was me bored at work, browsing the Alla forums as I always do at work, when this strange thing happened, I got this crazy idea of rolling a rogue!!

Fast forward to present days, I´ve convinced my best friend to roll twin rogues with me, a nice pair of cute blood elves. ^^

Of course, as you can imagine, "lol, twins!!" are following us everywhere Smiley: glare

Apart from that, it is a really nice change from my main, mage, and priest alt, getting in close combat gives a renewed feeling to the game.

And also playing with your best friend and growing our babies together is quite nice ^^.

Thanks to all the people that made and contributed to the stickies and the forum, it really helps to know what weapons to use, how to equip them, and where to put those first points and the next ones Smiley: clown

My inspiration may have come I think from my great GM, which seems to me, as inexperienced as I am, a pretty capable rogue: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Hellfire&n=Kagerou

I'll keep you posted on my progress, I am sure you'll see me with a n00bish question topic soon Smiley: grin

Theo, this whole "nice" thing is a bit out of character. Did you get lucky last night or something?

BTW theo, I like your interface, I need something to clean up my action bars, which UI is that?

and gratz arundel - prince is insanely easy if you get lucky on the infernals, but if you do not have the best of luck you can wipe on him with a full t6 raid really. [kind of a stupid encounter]. Also, nightbane is the final boss :D

Got my rogue to 60 finally. Got a few nice upgrades of some Outlands greens and jumped headfirst into the Hellfire quests.

Next on the agenda is some farming of Ramparts to get the 3 dr5ops I need out of there and to get to level 61.5 hopefully. I seem to have hit a point in the Hellfire Horde side quests where i'm a level low to really do them without struggling.

Oh and congrats Demea and Teddy, add me to that list as well.

I got a free 2's team. Me and a priest friend (Scarvin) went 12-0 (still going) and boosted it from 1450-1642.

EDIT: 13-2. Stormherald war > me. Full epic huntard > priest.

Yeah, hunters are extremely dangerous to priests. Leaving them alone will get you a loss pretty easily. Smiley: grin

In other news tonight, I finally got Edgewalkers. <3 Moroes.

I also got T4 helm, but I'm poor right now, so I'm going to have to wait on getting my new mask outfitted.

Kara cleared (every boss) in 4 hrs 40 mins. PuG run (mostly guild, but 3/10 were PuG members), too.

This will be very basic and old to most of you but I had a "enlightenment" moment on our last Kara-run.
Bar that an argument arose btwn our MT and MH that in the end resulted in both of them leaving the Guild, having our OT and Healading + about 3 others leaving (this is destroying the guild btw), I had the best run ever and not because of loot or downing anything special.

It was the first time our guild-shaman came along for the ride and he tossed (on my request, been hearing so much about it I wanted to try it out) Windfury Totem. At the same time I requested the Blessing of Salvation instead of the usual Blessing of Might that the pally throws on routine.

Oh my!

What an INSANE amount of damage you can do with those both combined! The tank only needed about 1-2 seconds and I could get right to it and just wail away!!!

The windfury procs all the time and I am finding myself just giggling like a 12-year old who found mom and dads stash of candy!

In the end, our insanely geared Lock beat me on Damagemeters but I was truly seeing the light and am currently stalking said shaman with "The Rock" in my hand, proposal-speechnote in other :)

Today (well, I haven't gone to sleep yet, so it's still today to me) was a good day in WoW. I woke up, and about 15 minutes later, my friend called me to fill the last spot in a heroic Ramparts run. Well, that's the only heroic key I didn't have at the time, so I logged on, and the group ran through Shattered Halls up to and including the first boss so I could hit Revered real quick. Got my heroic key, and we spent the next couple of hours dying and learning (the hard way) what kinds of CC will and will not work on different mobs in Ramparts.

Unfortunately, the world server crashed while we were in there, and it bugged the final boss encounter. Basically, the two guards at the end of the bridge that agro the boss when they die kept respawning. We killed them for about 10 minutes for some easy rep, then called the run.

During that run, I got a whisper from the Kara 1 team leader asking if I was available to down Curator tonight. Of course, I said yes, and sure enough, invites went out right on time. Unfortunately, our MT got disconnected, and our backup took 20 minutes or so to get everything she needed. Then she got splattered on the first trash pull, so our OT became our MT, and did a fine job with it. We got to Curator and wiped twice because the DPS wasn't burning down the final flare fast enough, so we didn't do enough damage during Evocation.

The third try went swimmingly well, but unfortunately, the healers ran out of mana right when he hit 15% (one of the healers was a enhancement shaman who we coaxed into respeccing for the evening). We wiped at 3%. Three ******* percent. Still, it was my first time in Kara, and I was second on the damage charts overall, but only because of those mana wurms in the Curator room. Mages can AoE, and I can't, GG. However, I was number one for the boss encounter by far.

In short, I got my last heroic key, and finally stepped foot into Kara, doing fairly well for my first try (or so I think). A good day in WoW.

Bad week for me :(

Big string of loses on the 3v3, went way back down to the 1900s...

Got the 2v2 to 2001, but got greedy and now it's back to 1970. :(
