Mine doesn't really have a special meaning... Most names I use are from D&D characters. I have one that can fit almost any mold from years of playing and having characters from those years with rich history. Most of my characters also had gone through drastic changes in the years I played them, so I can now use names from them to fit different molds at different points in their..er, lives?
Like a character I had who was a soldier, left because he had a knack for matial arts and wanted to pursue it (monk), got decent at it (level 10), untill at one point almost an entire city died because of him... They died pretty bad. He ended up becoming lost in his depsair and his lucky butt got sucked into Ravenloft. Ended up living as a Thief there to survive and even became a vampire... He got cured, escaped and lives on as the Thief type of class to this day.
My Warlock is named after another D&D character. Olbin was a wizards apprentice working in the dark arts. Demons and such. He never could quite walk a path of evil, and one day - by pure chance - descovered he had psionic powers. Divorcing himself from the dark arts he was a devoted Psion, and walked the path into Sigil, traveling the planes, even spending some time in Menzoberranzan before finally settling in the surface realms of the Forgotten Realms. Retiring as a level 23 Psion in D&D 3rd ed.
So my lock is named after Olbin as he was in his early life. if blizz ever allows us to have surnames, his surname will be tacked on from what he has always had since I created him ^^
