Best raid build? (no fighting!)Follow

I have taken a stroll through the forums, looking for a decent, if not best opinionated raid build, and found most everyone puts out what they think to be the best raid build. This is all right, as everyone has an opinion to what is useful and what is not. The problem I am having is I am 46/12/3, perfect for farming and having no rest time ever (wrists feel funny). What makes matters even far worse is while in kara, I am getting an average of about 7-12% more damage output than all the other hunters, who are a strong marksman build.

My bow is 2.8 speed, and which all the goodies it brings my speed to 2.03. I tried to do a marksman build and I find I am pausing a lot to get an autoshot in between my steady ones. I have it timed to a science when it comes to my current build, due to a small bit of lag it looks like i am already charging up a steady shot and shooting an autoshot while the 1.5 sec cast is charging.

My beef is this, should I go marksman and see what happens? I know the Xbow from the first boss in kara drops a 3.0 second delay weapon, which would make being marksman with a decent shot rotation even harder.

Well any feedback would be nice, i pvp sometimes (on a pvp server so it is more of ambushing) but I do and still intend to farm and raid a lot. As to my character so you can pick and prod, it is Daysi From Nathrezim.

And of course, from what I've seen from the other topics on best builds, lets keep this a good clean fight, no shots below the belt. :)

Every build if played correctly can exceed in raiding. The problem is learning how to play :/

One thing to note is that with marks you get Trueshot Aura, which buffs your group. Yeah, you get Ferocious Inspiration, but 125 AP is going to add a lot too (and that's always up). So you're getting their buff as well.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Regardless of spec, any hunter can top the charts over another hunter, the key is learning how to play your class well. According to your post, your current BM spec is working great for you. You have a process down where your shot rotation is dead on, and you have little wait time between each shot (from what I understand).

I say don't fix what's not broken. If you like BM spec, don't change because others tell you, or others feel that you may do more damage with MM. I'm currently MM and I'm also on a pvp server like yourself (Kel'Thuzad, one of the original pvp servers). I leveled up using MM (I grouped with my brother who is an enhancement shaman), I switched to Survival for raiding. The big patch hit, I went back to MM. Now I can't live without Silencing Shot. It's one of the best shots available for me.

I personally would never go BM, mainly due to the fact I don't want to have to rely on my pet as much as a BM hunter would. I also don't like the machine-gun affect that BM hunters get. Shooting that fast just means more trips to the vendors for arrows ;) But again this is my personal preference. I have nothing against BM hunters, I just personally will not choose that path. I have found a spec I am comfortable with and works for me. Everyone is different, go with what works.

Well, BM is going to push out the most DPS for a while longer, though if you want a MM build, I would personally go with a MM/SV hybrid, for killer instinct and lightening reflexes.

When I do ding 70 though, I'll probably go with a Surv build, because of mana regan with thrill of the hunt, and expose weakness. I'd also go with some points in master tactician, just in case it ever procs.

Sometimes your finges type what you weren't saying, wierd.

AYFN????

Would love to see a BM pump out as much damage as I do, tried than, the guy ended up respecing and now does just a little under me.

Anyways, not saying mine is the bes raiding guild, but since in Kara I am needed to trap, I speced MM/SV for the trapping and Health bennie. Mine is a common build, but hey it works, why fix it?
