Soloing RewardsFollow

What are some of the best rewards you have earned by yourself? Not just for bragging rights, but also for great items, sets, you name it.

Also, what are some of the best items you have heard about people soloing? Hunters mostly, but other classes work.

Well, I never really soloed much as a Hunter, besides being proud of soloing Devilsaurs at level 52 with a level 51 pet.

What I do remember soloing though, with my Druid, is Mother Smolderweb. I really wanted the Wildheart set. (This was a long time ago) And I knew Mother Smolderweb dropped my last set piece. So I decided to stealthrun the old lass. Only, I couldn't get any Rogues or other Druids to help me.

So I decided to see if that little myth I had heard was true. I stocked up on Mana/Health Pots, some Tubers, and a few buffpots and scrolls. It turned out I wouldn't even need those.

It was almost like exploiting a bug. Just use Starfall, and immediately Hibernate on her. Wait until the Hibernate has almost gone through, and another Starfall. Switch positions depending on how close she gets. Rince and repeat, use a Mana Potion when necessary, and after a LOOOONG time doing this, she died. Switch to bearform, run in and loot, and most likely die from the tiny little sons and daughters she spawned.

The Boots didn't drop until the fourth time I did this, but since getting groups there was pretty much a no-chance-in-hell situation, it was worth it. Funny as hell to, when people asked me how I did it, and I just said Stealthrun and Bearform the lass. Until they realized how much of a lying little ***** I was, I was considered almost a god amongst the Druids in the guild. I made up for it by paying their repairbills though, hehe.

Trying to grab an idea of what I can do on my own.

I haven't done much solo, as far as great items go. But I don't know of to many out there. I would like my Tier pet healing set or Shammy Tier 5. Not planning on that. Would be great to solo some bulky armor pieces, or glowing weapons.

not to shatter your dreams.. wait yes.. to shatter your dreams.
you cant get Tier gear for a shaman... that can only be worn by shamans
second, +heal wont do **** anymore in ~2 weeks.
they are removing its effect on mend pet, as well as more changes.
(read PTR mend pet topic, probably some way down, maybe next page)

Nah, More bored options than dreams.

But still might hurt my interests for my BM hunter. All thou, I doubt it will matter much at all.

Well, I'd say the hunter epic bow quest. I did have help for the Silithus and Un'Goro demon fights, so I wouldn't really say those.

I'd say kiting the stupid Winterspring demon and KILLING IT. Friends helped me clear a path, but I was so nervous, my mouse-hand was shaking as I finally killed it. Took a lot of tries.

Oh, soloing pet taming can also be a lot of fun (& frustration). Solo taming a Son of Hakkar was pretty cool.
