Hey guys, need some advice from all you locks who "piggybacked" the Dreadsteed quest...

Me and a guildmate are both gonna do this quest, he already has THE MATS ONLY for:

10 Elixirs of Shadow Power (for the Bell of Dethmoora)
6 Large Brilliant Shards & 25 Dark Iron Ore (for the Wheel of the Black March)

I have the 3 Arcanite Bars (for the Black Lodestone) and me and my friend are gonna start on the 35 Black Dragonscales (for the Doomsday Candle) tonight...

So:

(Me) Doomsday Candle
(Him) Bell of Dethmoora
(Him) Wheel of the Black March
(Me) Black Lodestone

Now we havent physically done any of the quests yet, except im doing the "Rage of Blood" quest as we speak for the ink, so how do we go about doing this?

Thanks for youe time and consideration guys/gals.

I used this site.

Basically you both need it all untill you are done with Scholomance.
After that, at the end of the chain quests, one of you should get J'eevee's Jar, Black Lodestone and Xorothian Glyphs - those are the 3 parts that are most expensive and its fine if only one lock in the team doing last part, Dire Maul, have them.

So, you cannot share elixirs, ore, shards, arcanite, and so on. You both need it all, separately.

Btw, I never "piggybacked" my quest.
I had only mage friend helping me with Scholo and warrior friend joining us for DM.
I gathered all mats I could myself, bought shards from AH for 120g, went with another friend grinding dragons for my scales - I didnt have any other lock around to share the cost so the whole quest costed me bit over 600g.
I was way over 65 too (wouldnt try to solo Scholomance otherwise), waiting to find a proper team to do instances and maybe one more lock to share cost.

You BOTH have to gather the materials for the 3 "items", but only ONE of you has to purchase them from the imp afterward's and bring them to DMW.

Once your BOTH on the Dreadsteed of Xoroth quest then you can purchase the 3 items from the imp and go to DM. The thing that is confusing is when you do the quest to gather the mats for the lode stone and the others he doesn't GIVE you the item, he only (after you complete all 3 mat quests) lets you buy them from the imp next to him.

As far as group composition goes, if you have 2 locks, then you will need a good Tank, a Healer, and off-tank. Everyone should be lvl 60+ as any lower will just make it harder then it needs to be.

Yes, I dont know if it seemed so to me but I couldnt do anything else but run around those 3 things all the time, the moment I refreshed one the other one would start to fail.
I just enslaved one of the big guys and let him cover me all he could, I couldnt do any fighting myself with all the running around....... seemed like ages >.<
