So I am almost at the point where I get deadly throw, and I was looking for some input as to how useful it is. I couldn't see using it since I normally cripple kite while soloing, if I need to. A 5 second movement speed decrease doesn't seem like much, nor does the thrown weapon vulnerability.

The only real use I've found for it has been during PvP, to be honest. Got a combo point or two on something that's just out of melee range? Sprint on cooldown? Send them a christmas present, right between the shoulder blades!

PVP move mainly.

They are time when a target will get away from you without being poisoned (or after having removed your poison), and Deadly Throw is perfect for those times.

Also, Deadly Throw go from being a 3 Star ability to a 4 Star ability once you get the pvp or arena gloves...

Like the previous posters mentioned, it's a PVP move more than anything else. In AB the other day I used it on a caster form druid trying to heal himself and crit him for 1100. At first I couldn't believe it, but he just fell over dead in mid heal. Made me a happy rogue. Other than that I guess it's a decent move for mobs that run away when low on health.

CBing deadly throw is the most entertaining way to pwn a caster who has rooted you or something and is about to heal from out of your range, especially if you wear gladiators gloves like me :D ROFL

Well this this thing needs combo points so the only time it'll really be useful in pve is when you dont have cripple on something and it runs.

How many places at and bove its level requirement have runners? [serious question]

As far as I've noticed in Outland Melee mobs won't run, casters will. I am in Netherstorm grinding Scryer Rep. So they are fairly higher lvl. Deadly Throw mostly pvp use as already stated.

Ya so you'll want to try to have throwing weapons equipped of course! Blacksmiths can make some pretty nice ones for you. Forget what they are called though. Most blacksmiths will have them though I'd imagine, just ask.

nice ability versus blinking mages...

slows them down and silence for a few seconds when you have the PVP/gladiator gloves. just enough time for you to catch up to them.
