Baby drood, seeking assistance Follow

#1 Apr 26 2007 at 1:04 PM Rating: Decent
I'm a baby drood, only level 6 at the moment [cute, eh ?].
I've pretty much only played rogue and hunter .

So my question is ...
What's a good, feral build for a soloing PvE drood ?
I've read about it everywhere BUT in forums .
I checked the sticky, but it's "Under construction" and wasn't a whole lot of help .

This is a confusing class compared to hunter and rogue ...
It's driving me nuts :]

haha, the simple days of my rogue :)

anyway, back to your question. it is best to have a feral build at least until lvl40 if you want to level quickly. this is mainly because gear >40 is very much stam/agi/str, but also because you have moonkin.

important talents to have are...
ferocity
feral swiftness
sharpened claws
predatory strikes
primal fury
heart of the wild

You'll find that getting your druid to lvl30+ can be quite hard, but after that, they are a very good, and fun, class to play.

I updated the talent section in the sticky the other day.

henry covered it well. Feral is the fastest, Balance is slower but viable and gets better at level 40 when you get moonkin. Resto is slooooow unless you spend most of your time in instances.

Yep, what they said.

This, IMHO, is the "best" build to get Mangle ASAP at 50. However, you might prefer picking up Furor sooner if you're on a PvP server or simply go to BG's often as it helps quite a lot in those situations. For pure leveling, I'd personally go straight to Mangle and pick Furor right after that.

You can toy with the build, of course, as there are many variants that might better suit your play style. The most important is to not only take the build and use it, but to also check each talent, see what they affect and understand the impact it will have on your play style.

For example: Shredding Attacks improves the cost of Shred, some kind of backstab attack, so if you don't use it either because of your opening combo or whatnot, you might as well drop that talent in favor of something more appropriate for you. But since you've played Rogue you'll find Cat is very similar and since it'll be your main leveling tool you shouldn't have too much problem.
