Mace Spec helpFollow

#1 Apr 26 2007 at 5:05 AM Rating: Decent
I am currently Prot specced. I did the TBC leveling run with a DW Fury build. I really liked it alot. I won't be tanking for abt 7 weeks, got my hand broken, and haven't located a local druid, pallie, or priest that can do an instant heal on me. I thought during this down time I could farm a little with my warrior. (Yep, I put leveling the mage on hold during this time. Low survivability chance when fighting, I tried.)

I am a Hammersmith, I already have the Drakefist, and I am going to grind for the Blackout Truncheon. I am collecting mats for Thunder. I am not the least bit interested in changing my BS speciality. And I want to stick with maces, it's a trademark and advertisement. ;)

I am seeking opinions on builds with out specializing in DW or 2H. I would be interested in thoughts about why I should specialize in DW or 2H as well. Please remember this will be PvE. I am accustomed to the use of both my hands, so concerning PvP, in the words of a famous cartoon dinosaur..."No, no, no!" Besides, I really am a very poor PvP'er, so helmets off to those of you that are good at it. :)

My thoughts:

(Do I need additional rage)

(Why take a chance? Never run out of rage)

Pure unadulterated DPS would be nice, but that requires fast hands. So I am seeking great damage at a realistic one handed pace. I have to move from mouse to keyboard with my right hand. Left hand(broke one) I can use the thumb to hold shift key down. The fingers aren't moving yet.

My gear kinda is low quality for DPS atm. I have most of the mats for the adamintite gear. So gear recommendations would be awesome. But not from a quest. I have almost completed all outland quest, except for raid instances (working on Kara) and shadowmoon's. Instance drops or crafted would probably be the best source.

PS. Yes the drakefist is a great tanking weapon. Firegaurd beats it hands down, but I can't make it. The secret to tanking with the drakefist is a little trinket that causes an increase in weapon speed. Make sure you have defense and stamina elsewhere.

Ummm...i am trying this spec:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warrior/talents.html?350200213520150200010000505000550501003000000000000000000000000000

Guess it would work with any spec, polearm, axe, swords...the proc on maces is reaonable. The rage is unreal. I heroic strike all day long. Multi-mobs are easy. I am doing some quest in shadowmoon. Let ya know how it goes.

Still looking for advice, different points of views, or recommendations.
