Good level 41 1h?Follow

I actually just dinged level 41 and I'm going to work on my Celstial Orb. Is there a good 1h that could compliment this...? Like would it be worth it to use hypnotic blade? Or should I stick with the Illusionary Rod. Thanks!

At 65 you can do The Ring of Blood and get a hawt staff from there too. I used that til 70.

Same. I used that staff from sm lib till 53 lol. The stats are just pretty darn good. Seems like that there are two types of casters in the world (...of warcraft). You have your "ZOMGFTWDIDJASEETHATPYROCRIT" mages with their 1h/oh combo that has a decent amount of +damage. Then there is the "ZOMGFTWDIDJAJUSTSEETHATFIREMAGEFALLOVERDEAD" mage that easily survives a pull because of all the +stam and int that most staves pack. This is a trade off sure, but I prefer stats to damage and other than the epic mara dagger (which I still would have passed on but maybe used for single mob farming)the +spell didnt seem like enough to replace the stats on the sm staff, and finding a OH that is truly good enough to make up the difference are few and far between. Outlands, everything has +spell damage on it. Staves from qsts and ramparts will replace pretty much any 1h/oh combo you are using. So I would just use the illusionary rod and prolly lvl faster due to not losing so much time running back to your corpse.
