Should druids bother with first aid?Follow

#1 Apr 24 2007 at 12:08 PM Rating: Decent
I've always thought that most classes except priest should get first aid to avoid using mana or avoiding waiting on a cooldown to heal...but from the threads ive read here it seems like druids are capable of doing fine without it.
(ive never rolled a druid btw, but thinking about it)

thanks

Thread is still on the first page of the Druid forums...

We can do fine without it but ALL classes benefit from it. Even Priests, contrarily to what you've said. Mana-less heals are life-savers in many situations.

BTW, off-topic and just some nitpicking from me but you spelled "Intelligence" wrong in your sig. You might wanna fix that.

This post will be beat by someone... but here I go.

Yes, err.. unless you don't want to.

The only times I would see not using the mats you get while grinding is if you're: 1)Tailor or 2)really really really need the coin.

Bandages are a short cool down timer, and will you save mana per bandage used. This is not a huge deal when grinding, but raids it'll help a bit more.

Needed?... no (we have heals and antidote spells)
Recommended?.... Big time

I'm lv 32 and I was making my 1st mageweave bandage. 800 HP in 12 seconds when I have 1200 HP total is pretty darn good =P

ah, ty i didnt even notice. kind of ironic lol...but thanks for the info. I have a 35 priest and in a few cases healing without mana would have been nice. If it happens more often i plan on leveling it since its so cheap

the biggie is that bandaiding means you are not casting, not casting means you are working on mana regen, so rather than spending mana, you are acutaly making mana(since you are not expending it on a heal and you get to spend some time out of the no regen time)

You use it to heal yourself and stay outside of the five second rule to regen mana. It's useful... not like zomfg amazing or anything. It doesn't take much time to lvl so it's sort of a 'eh, why not?'

It's actually free. Leveling 1st aid will really go up as you level your toon. You don't need to make heavy mageweave bandages at lv 10 lol. Stick with the items you get, and use them to skill up.

I leveled 2 toons 1st aid to 200+, and every other small toon I roll I keep 1st aid updated. I've never bought materials once. You don't need to bandage after every fight, so your not going to run out of bandages. Then when you are maxed out on that cloths usage (done with heave wool bandage now skilling up on silk *edit*), do whatever you want with the excess. I sell mine.

QFT, all of it.

It depends what spec you are. If you are feral, then (as you dont use mana) you will always have mana to heal with, so you wont need first aid as uch.

If you are balance, as first aid can be used in Moonkin, then it is a great help, as we cant heal in that form.

And if you are resto, will, its been stated above!
