I can enslave different pets and have them do half of my damage by themselves. A big note is BF with the felguard monsters.

Agreed. I played heroic Ramparts and enslaved those imps at the very beginning. They hit noncrit for 5k with their fireballs...very impressive.

Yes, definitly. So far, Outlands has been pretty sweet. Tons of elemental and demons everywhere to use my CC on. I think I went from 1-58, using my banish and enslave a total of 2 times each. Outlands has tons of good mobs for us (tons of bad mobs too, namely undead and fear-immune elites).

But, I still hate being on Seduce duty. Damn Succy won't hold it for crap, and then seems to have a hard time recasting it after it breaks.

In my warlock opinion, imps (i even have the Improves imp)stamina buff is way more valuable than succubus seducing. Not only does it break early and often and get resisted and half the things are immune to it in heroics...but it takes all your attention from DPSing to watching her. 91 stamina is nothing to scoff at either.

I usually just say okay when they mark something for seduce, pull agro on it and run backwards (or just tell them to pull back) and chain fear it. Much safer and you can lay your dots on them. If there is no room for fear, god forbit someone tanks two mobs at once.

But yeah, I wish the improved seduce talent would make it always last its full duration or something so you can at least take your eyes away for a second.

I've been getting better at CC duty lately, heres a few tips if they help

- let the tank pull the group (duh)
- when the 4-5 mobs are coming at the tank, pull your mob with searing pain
- this puts the aggro on you, with much more health then the sucubus
- it also lets her channel seduce without getting beat on
- quickly target the tank and hit 'F' or macro /assist 'tank' or something
- keep your mouse on a swivel, since you got the mob agro and not your sucubus you have a bit more time - channeling seduce is 1.5 seconds

Unless its big huge cleaving mobs I wouldnt worry too much. Mine rarely get resisted in normal instances (shattered halls, mech, arcatraz, coilfang). I know of many locks who are on CC duty in tougher places like kara and heroic instances. So I would say start practicing now. I just picked these up over the last few days since I started finally learning to CC effectively. Honestly I barely lose any dps, probably what a mage would lose on sheep duty.

In my opinion, theres certain pulls where you need the extra CC. And being able to effectively CC gives you more oppurtunities to run instances with non perfect group setups. Normally I run with the imp, but sometimes its better for the group to lose 700-900 health for a few pulls, in favor of having another mob be put out of commition until 1-2 are killed first.

If you're worried about your effectiveness, you can always kill the seduce target right after the non cc'd targets are killed. But honestly I'm getting to the point where I can seduce just as fast as a mage can sheep. Use the searing pain trick, its a quick cast and it puts aggro on you, not your low health sucubus. I'm assuming you're demo spec'd from your post, so you probably have more health then I do.

before i hated to be on CC duty... but now i can cc 2 targets withou to much hastle... macros are my friends :D i have 2 litle macros.. 1 taht puts focus on a target (which i use when the group is being marked) and another macro that makes the succy seduce the target that has teh focus on it... This way i can chain seduce without deselecting my main target.. if the group is puled way back i can chain seduce and chain fear 2 targets.. those 2 macros have made it much more simple.. :D hope it helped

Since we are on the topic, i found this thread on the O-Boards of pretty much all enslavable demons in outlands. Pretty usefull stuff IMO.

You can combine those macros into 1 if you like as described in this thread http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/class.html?wclass=9;mid=1176370339245547990;num=4;page=1
