For me, Blind.

Unless it's a pet class... then prep and usually vanish.

Topic seems sort of senseless though, don't you think everyone will just say vanish?

mines the big fat 0 key on the numpad. Though that is usually my PvP trinket button.

Vanish is 4 on numpad, blind is 5 on numpad.

Gouge, take control of the situation without blowing cooldowns, then kill them.

Nice in theory, not generally useful in practice. Sometimes you simply need to break combat and heal up, and come back on your own terms.

I'm surprised to see that you guys use keys all around the keyboard.

I only use one hand, the left hand which is in the same position as when I'm typing (the right hand being on the mouse obviously). Central keys are for movements (front, back, side straf) then the rows on top and bottom and the two rows on the left and right are for other stuff (including the action bar). Takes some time to get used to, but then there is no need to move the hand anymore, which means less waste of time and less chances to **** up.

Vanish= =

Don't have blind yet.

However I use F for Stealth...it's right next to the keys used to move.

I JUST changed my Vanish to Ctrl-2 from = last night.

Everynow and then I'll get jumped and fumble my keys if I wasn't paying attention, and that split second it takes to actually look down at the keyboard to make SURE I'm about to press the "save my *** =" key could sometimes be my downfall.

Ctrl-2 is easy =D

i have a topic up about such mappings.

my vanish is V. I only have combat stuff on my main action bar and class utilities on the left bottom [just above main bar]

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/class.html?wclass=4;mid=117734533983015139;num=1;page=1
:P

I dont even look down at my keyboard or my buttons on the interface anymore.

all my buttons are close to my quick trigger fingers

I never have to take my hand out of the WASD setup, because i use almost every key i can reach from there. The new macro system is awesome too, I have Q alone set to do about 8-9 different things depending on the situation, combat, mounted, modifiers... etc. The F is bound to all my finishers, and i only have to use keys 1-5 for my normal attacks. I still need to find somewhere to put backstab though... can't find a good spot...

My Oh @%#$ button is - x2, with the = being Will of Forsaken. I have to hit mine twice, the first will activate the COS, second will Vanish.

I have vanish on mousewheel button and Blind on one of my 2 thumbsbuttons.
When I hit the sh.it, I usually have a tier 1-3 of situations and alarms.

If I think it is manageable: Tier 1
Berzerk (troll ability) with Dodge. Usually that takes me out of most sit's.

If I have control but no health and think it is manageable: Tier 2
Blind and bandage/food - stealth/CheapShot

If I am fresh out of luck; ganged on Arathi Basin and mages are Bolting me with warriors charging in, white foam streaming from their mouths: Tier 3
Vanish and sprint the heck out of there!

Key is to have a grasp of surroundings, if I think Tier 1 but it really is tier 2-3 = Graveyard
