Solo'd WC... Buuuuuuuut....Follow

#1 Apr 23 2007 at 10:44 AM Rating: Decent
Hello guys,

Sunday I was in Ashenvale questing a bit with my lv31 Druid. A guild member asked if anyone wanted to run WC with him (lv26 Druid). I said sure, I can always us the coin... and I wanted to check out that Fang armor primarily for Druids.

Well we get there. We're getting greens left and right. Then he says "gtg eat... brb" >.>

15 minutes later "I'm back"

Kill a few more things and see "gtg". Umm, k thx for the invite so you can spend most of it afk >.>

Anywho, my post is not a person rant lol. I did really well solo'n WC at 32. Big whoop right lol. I got all the way to the end, where some big freaking tree is. Killed the mobs around him. Ate more food, buffed, and got ready for a easy win?

Nope, when I see he hits for 200 a pop in bear form, then I changed to caster and healed, cat form for quick damage, back to caster, healed, bear form, D. shout... back to caster... OOM = Death

Anyone solo that guy?

I'm coming back for revenge around lv40... Dire bear FTW. P.s. I know he drops BoP cruddy stuff, it's a pride thing now =D

And thats not even the "Main Attraction".....I was able to Duo Him with my druid at level 36(Back in the day when Resto was the only spec) It sure helps to have a Lock to banish the foo when ya need a break. Once you get drie bear form he will be a pushover.

I soloed him at 32 when I ran a group of 4 15s through. I had to heal alot though, in the end I barely beat him. I did have really good armor for that level, so maybe that was an issue.

It might be cause you have F. Bite (evaserate?). I would have killed to have Instant damage vs DoT on him last night XD And opening with Ambush (ravage?) would help I think.

Oh and...

There's someone worse in there??? Lol, sorry the only thing I've completed so far is RFC.

Well that was awhile ago, but I remember I used ravage as opener and kept attacking him until I needed to heal in cat, I riped and healed. Then I went bear and used demo and kept mauling him to death, healed everytime I had like 400 health left. I was about to 5% health and OOM when I killed him. I had tons of stamina at that level so maybe that was important. I also had some resto (focus and naturlist and no furor, yes I know what was I thinking no furor). I also moonfired him for dot, so that helped, and only used healing touch and rejuvenation. Like I said, I had some of the best armor back then, and I started buffed with imp motw and thorns.

Also, theres a Murloc at the end, not sure if he's harder, soloed him at 34 easy?

Edit: All of the armor was from instances and some from AH (nothing costly like twink items). Also I tried to use warstomp and bash most I could.

Mr McPlant (the cute name i made up just now) is not even close to the END.

the instances has a bunch of "Druids of the Fang" in addation to a few other "Bosses" once you dispach all of the Druid Bosses, you go back to that tauren at the entrance and he will walk you though the "Main Event" that ends with the biggest freeking Murloc in the whole game jumping out of a pond to get freeky on ya.

Honestly WC is one of the reasons you can tell Bliz prefers the Horde or at least spent more time developing stuff for it, when compaired to doing the Deadmines WC just rocks, Better story(well it is more planet originated as opposed to silly humans lying though their teeth). The "Event" is fun as well as some of the fun stuff of WC, for example Deviate Scales and Deviate Fish....

Not trying to turn this in to a "It is not Far" thred, just a matter of how I see it, I think they put more time /energy in to the hordes first few instances than they did to the alliance ones(come on .... the stockades?)

Yeah, I killed a whole lot of Fang/snake people. Killed some serpent lord or w/e. I killed that huge stormsnout boss locked up in the gate.

I spent about 2 good hours there, killing, sorting my loot... greens, tossing greys, dumping lower foods.

I think I was on the home strech then, cause I kept thinking "Am I going back to the entrance?"

Thx for the info tho guys.

No, no, no, no! You got it all wrong! You don't toss greys.

Well, at your level you might, but 50+ or so, they give 1g+ each. For a grey.

GREY!

Just tip, not really contributing to the thread.

Oh, and I soloed that tree dude with my 70 paladin, does that count?

emm ya right. a 2h instance (if going in at the level) for the hord beginning area really makes more people want to try hord. if I'm not wrong, brd, sfk, and stockades are all faster instances than wc. Additionally would you rather spend more time to get the key loot/bosses from the instance or less? 9 times out of 10 you'd rather run an instance in less time to achieve what you wanna do than more. makes it possible to run multiple times in the time you have to play.

deadmines(vc) is a 45 min instance. you get 2-3 chances at the defias set in the time it takes you to run 1 instance of wc.... 40% of the time in wc is just travelling from one end of the instance to another. deadmines. meh simple straight instance. you run in and kill stuff. easier for the newbies and keeps them intersted rather than thinking they're grinding.

ps I got my guild to call the elemental the big stick just like we call mara the little princess. after all mara can blow you away with just a breath of fresh air. (cough cough hack hack gasmask gasmask!!! help!!! my eyes!!!)

Took me almost 4 runs to finish the stupid quest in there because the groups would fail before getting to the 4th gem dropper >.< Not to mention it really all becomes the same halfway through. VC you've at least got varying areas, cave, melting pot, pirate ship...

Many times I have a hard time with a specific mob or area, and I always make a point of coming back later and thoroughly owning all these little @#$%^@#$% who made my life difficult :D
