I think my lock has the best name ever, his name is Terrify and he's on Thrall server,BE warlock
Guess you might not see this, but trying other languages can work out pretty good. I checked "destruction" in latin, and got "eversio", from that I made a Human Female Warlock called Eversia, which I love.
Mortiss and Paindar are the names I like to use for my Warlock and Mage.

If your not lazy go check out a history book, lots of fun lock names in there. My lock is named Rasputin but I do play on a RP server so I actually spent a little while looking for a name.

Fair enough. Not a big fan of the roleplay on wow, lol. I just.. never saw much that could compare with nwn, so I moved on in short order.
I went with Caeth for mine. Dunno why, like the sound of it, eh?

not really a name, kind just lets ppl no what you are.. Shadowmancer, Necromancer.
but ill switch things around some and go with an old god, like i had a necromancer in EQoA named Haides, and another named Necroditea

I have to create a character and look at them for a few minutes then a name comes to me my undead lock is Pestile, and my BE lock is Pendrake just cause that is what they looked like.

I got my lock's name from another game, namely the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Although Sheogorath is actually a male Daedric lord in ES-IV, the name is perfect for my undead gal, who everyone now knows as Sheo. *sigh* I love my warlock... ;-)
I *just* rolled a BE lock on Sargeas and I got the name Demonicon.

My first char I made was Rhyn (pronounced "Rin"), and my alts all have a part of "rhyn" in them:
Rhyn (Druid)
Doctrhyn (Priest)
Soverhyn (Mage)
Veterhyn (Warlock)
Pilferhyn (Rogue)
Everyone in the Guild knows its me, and can ask for an alt to come out if they need a hand from a specific char.
Well, it works for me at least...

Thats one good way to name any character get the nick name (in this case lock) and this of words with lock in eg golidlock, padlock, sometimes you can find a very good name.
Alternatively do what i did; think of a name that properly taken like death and try anagraming it (if thats a word) or spell it backwards i did and got htaed which wasn't very appealing so i swiched the 't' and 'h' and got my warlocks name Thaed!
Another way is too get an object and add an adjective: eg, Grave-runner (without the hyphon - )
Or just think of character names and make them your own eg Garfield may become Gaffel just by keeping the idea and just adding and taking away letters (you may not understand this one lol)
and if you dont want to do anything like that just pick random names or hit your keyboard and hope for the best!

Lol random crap jus pops into my head like Stiffer for my rogue and Merlinjr for my warlock =P
