Ive been pissed about soulshards for too long, but does anyone have a specific way to farm soulshards quicker than 10 per half hour? Ive tried everything i cant seem to farm them in a normal way, it seems nearly impossible to obtain over 30 in less than 2 hours..

I usually go to Ravenhill in Duskwood and cast Detect greater invisibility on myself. It allows me to see the "Unseen" ghosts inside the houses. They're level 48+ and really easy to kill. Also they don't aggro you until you attack. Easiest place to farm shards, that I've found so far.

A lot of the PVP locks burn soul shards at an unfathomable rate. In single PVP fights, i burn at least one shard, maybe two if my shadowburn doesn't return one. We have to farm shards outside of PVP because it is EXTREMELY difficult to get off a drain soul while fighting another player.

well personaly i get nearly all shards in strat, scholo or mc. but before that i farmed satyrs in the north of azshara. you can fear and banish em, so they are easily controled.

edit: oh yes, and you might wanna sacrefice your void, so you contantly gain health. i know what you think now: but who`s gonne tank`em.
well you got fear. use it!

I am Horde so I am not sure on good Alliance hang-outs but the trick is to combine SS collection with something useful.

If you are in Kalimdor (West Continent) - go to Azshara and grind the Satys in the North. Then you can be collecting Demonic Runes and Mooncloth. Arguably Jaderun has a better drop rate, but I just don't like running around trying to get the first kill - competition is quite high. Competition does exist to a degree in Azshara but it's not as bad.

If you do want to hit Felwood - you could try the Deadwood Pathfinders, Warriors etc etc in South Felwoon - and earn yourself reputation with the Furbolgs - if you do ever get to friendly - there is a vendor you can get ok stuff with which you can sell at the AH.

You can try the Bloodpetals in Ungoro Crater - now those guys are yellow - won't attack you first - and you should take them down with a SB-SB-Drain Life combo - v quickly. For speed stick to the easy East side - but if you want to make a meal of it - you can go around collecting crystals and ungoro soil. The soil gives you a nice bonus pack at Thunder Bluff (as well as faction) - great if you are not an alchemist - and lots of water drinks.
If you want to collect the crystals you can sell them Gadget AH for 1g bid,2g buyout or you can combine them as follows :
*) RED/YELLOW - 383-517 fire damage - great for pvp.
*) YELLOW/GREEN - Heal 670 over 15s instant cast - so great replacement to bandage which can't be interupted.
*) BLUE/GREEN - Increase Spirit by 30 for 30 min - now I don't rate spirit as a lock coz I have dark pact - but give that buff to a priest on a instance run and he will be well impressed.

OK - Eastern Kingdoms.
WPL say no more - If I am hitting Scarlet Monestary the easiest thing is the Spiders and Bears just past the Bulwark and I would not even hesistate to say you could get shards at a rate of 2 per minute here.

If you got a bit more time to invest - just go further in and grind some Argent Dawn faction at the same time.

good luck.

kbd.
