The best 2h weapon a pally can get starting from level 20 is Verigan's Fist :

It is a 2h blue hammer with 25dps and 7 Stamina, +12 Spirit, +6 Intellect bonus. The item is a reward of the The Test of Righteousness quest, available for paladins only. The quest requires the Tome Of Valor quest to be done first and you can take it from Duthorian Rall. I did the quests solo at level 26, but the last part is very tricky. However if you have some powerfull friends you can easily do it. And the reward is totally worth it. I am now at level 32 and still using the hammer

If you're still using it at lvl 32 then you need an upgrade. A pally at lvl 32 should have a 30dps mace or higher.
What about Pally's who use 1h swords? Hehe
I need to upgrade mine... I like the shield, so I'm limited to 1h sowrd and 1h mace.
I haven't used that 2h hammer at all to be honest, nor do I use 2h swords anymore.
I'm more of a tank, than DPS.

I havven't found any mace worth it in the AH yet... and about 1h weapons. I like better 2h weapons because I mostly solo and I use SoC a lot and it's working very well for me

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=6687 is a great weapon i think... and its really easy to get. All you need to do is work your way passed a few of the quilboars and stuff and his one of the quickest subbosses to find in the place and drops that. And i continued to use that axe till i bought a Grim Reaper http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=13054 then later moved onto Mograine's Might http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=7723 and Ravager http://wow.allakhazam.com/item.html?witem=7717 of which Ravager is still the best weapon in the world to me at lv 48 as its special attack is brutal when combined with seal of command as it almost allways gets the special hit on it aswell.
I just picked up Ravager with my warrior alt, and frankly I find the proc more annoying than anything. It seems to always go off at the wrong moments, like right when I land the killing blow on a monster, and then I have to sit there and spin like an idiot for 10 seconds instead of being able to get my loot.
That Peacemaker looks realy nice though. I remember I spent most of my 30s looking for a decent Seal of Command weapon and never finding one. Speed 3.80... mmmmm.

Verigan's fist is good from about 20-32. I didn't get it until 27 or 28 though. I relied on Iron Maul from like 25-27.
Now I have Stone Hammer of the Bear, and it's better than Verigan's.

Cheese is evil. As a Paladin, I destroy cheese-based creatures.
Ravager proc can be manually interrupted by trying to cast a spell.
