A serious question about Pet killsFollow

Pet 'Skills' I meant

Hey I'm sure this has been addressed somwhere but I can't find it so here's my question.

I play a dwarf hunter, and I noticed when I tamed the boar for the level 10 quest with the taming rod that it had a skill called dire charge or something similar. What I want to know is, is it possible to get such unique pet skills from tamings after that quest and if so then where, how, and what pets can I get them from?

I suspect that while such skills may indeed exist, that we as hunters cannot learn them to 'teach' to our pets, but, I would still like to know what creatures have them so I can go and tame one of those. I seriously dig a cloud serpent with an actual lightning breath, or a spider with a ranged poison attack. I hope someone out there knows this cause I've looked everywhere and can't find anything on it.

No, it's not possible, aside from the 4 main ones of Growl, Cower, Claw and Bite. The unique pet skills you have during that quest is a "feature" generated from the fact that you don't have a normal charm on those mobs. You can't change the pet name either.

Well, it's not as drastic of abilities, but there are a few special pets.

Most of which are higher level, but some will retain some abilities. In general, it is either fast run speed, fast attack speed, or Resists.

Wildcard pets.

The tread has some contradictory information, and looks as if hasn't been updated for a while, so take it with a grain of salt.

Right now i have a turtle that supposedly has 75 Cold resist. I can't wait to get home to verify this.
