Hey everyone,
Just curious as to what u all think. Looking for a pet that will stand up and last in a fight. Which will actually work better, the pure ac pets or the high hp pets. Im assuming the high ac pets would last longer as thier damage they take is lower, but then they also have lower hp. Any suggestions on a good tanking pet?

Bears are by and far the better of the tanking pets. They have high health (if not the highest) and the second highest defense (trailing turtles, who have abysmal DPS and rather average HP). I currently run a bear and a cat, bear for soloing and cat for instances.

Thanks for the info, i was looking into either a gorilla or gator/turtle. How does the gorilla compare to the bear?

As for personal opinion, bears are great, and crabs work wonders too. Personally I think they rate a little better than my bear did, I've done crazier stuff with the crab around. (21 crab tanked VC w/o need of Mend Pet or heals the whole battle. Had Devotion Aura boosting him to 48.3% damage reduction)
