What is the best way for a lvl 12 NE druid to get to Ironforge to learn mace? There is no mace trainer on Darnassus and not sure if there is one in Darkshore area.

Probably be better off waiting till level 20. Not worth risking the trip before that, and you skill up really quickly anyways.

I made the trip with my ne druid around 13 or 14. It's not tough, just very long. Take the boat from Auberdine to Menethil Harbor (the boat is the one on the west side of the dock in Auberdine). Then follow the trail east out of Menethil through the Welands, through Dun Algaz, then Loch Modan, then west across Dun Morogh. Get the flight path in Menethil and at IF so you can fly back.
