Mage, warlock, druid ?Follow

#1 Jan 03 2005 at 8:38 AM Rating: Decent
I have read all the posts for the three different classes that i am contemplating and i still have a couple of questions,

1. If i choose druid, will i be able to offtank when needed, effectively? And does catform do good enough damage with Backstabb that it is desireable to have, or do the forms become usless at a certain level so that i am forced to backup heal and nuke for low amoounts?

2. Are the warlocks pets comperable to the mage pets in eq so that i can effectively solo?

3. It seems that the nukes and dps arent all that far off from the three classes (druid, mage, warlock ), is there training that each does that will increase the gap of damage that they can do?, and after training will the mages dps incrase considerably, or will there nukes and or dots stay within a couple of hundred of eachother.

Everything from what I see, is well balanced and work to the very end. Unlike EQ...which many skills and some classes turn useless up to ladder. Althrough some people choose to re-focus their form upon higher levels cause they need a new playing style.

Yes with Bells on.

But first, understand you should compare the class with EQ's nerco, not magician. (With both having DoT Specialization and all), oh wait..nm, forgot Warlock got direct damage too...and drain life...and gets stats from pets...

Wow (no pun intended), he just completely out class both nerco and magicians...

Even the level 1 Warlock pet, the IMP, can be used up to level 60 if you choose to focus (i.e teach it bloodpact 9, fireball rank 9, etc), not to mention u also get a Void Walker, Succbus, and such. And no gay crap about "Green pets" that cost you a bundle or a hour to summon so u can get a "red pet". (yes, I had a level 59 EQ magician, now I have a level 7 Warlock...and I can tell u my boy will beat any EQ magician/nercomancer to the ground with bells on once HE hits level 59)

And dont be fooled by thinking EQ...hell, in this game ur mana and HP recover much faster out of combat (with food at 25+), so you can solo just about anythin up to 2 level higher no prob.

In the same reason Mage > wizard. No stupid crap about sitting there and waiting for an hour for mana regen after u fried a blue mob. Or the gay 66% dmg vs players.

Each class have "talents" which u get the first point after level 10 (not gay level 50 a la EQ), which can be used to focus their skills.

I think mage do out class the others when it come down to "point and kill" through. Personally, I havent run one yet (but may soon will)
