Hi everyone, i'm only a lvl 21 dwarf hunter. I am focusing more on ranged attack and a lot less on melee. I was wondering if any higher lvl players feel like they contribute as a DD in a pt. I've heard some rumors from friends that say that at high lvls the hunter becomes less desirable in a pt situation. Of course none of them have any proof, and this is all hear-say. So, I am also wondering how well we stand up against a mage in terms of damage (excluding debuffs that mages get). I appreciate any comments, thx ^.~ Sugoii~!!

Lvl 30 Tauren hunter here. We make fairly good DD in a party, as long as people remember what our pet does for the party.

The pet helps with crowd control and also pulling.

Parties don't look for hunters, so you may find yourself having to start parties, but this is not a bad thing; since this lets you control who and what classes are in your party.

Parties Tend to not want me because I am a "solo" oriented class. Granted I am excellent at soloing with the combined damage my pet and I deal out we are up there with the mages in the damage department, not to mention my pet and I are great for crowd control also. The only parties I have been in so far are PvP Raids and Instances, but no just lvling up parties. *rant* People need to get the "Hunters are solo only" mentality out of their mind and see I can kick some a** in a party *rant*. Sorry for that semi rant their but the rest of the post is informative I hope.

Yeah, I kinda figured that the hunter class would become the "Dragoon" of WoW. I dueled a mage when i was lvl 17 and I won. But I figured that at that lvl the mages don't have their Ubber spells yet. Thx for the info, I was debating on starting a Druid if no one wanted the hunters, but it looks like i'll stick with my hunter.

Does anyone know of a website that will give damage specs at a higher lvl? just wondering, thx again ^.^
