Do the pets increase in experience/levels while they are stabled and you are using a different pet? Also, is there anyway to change pets while in the field or do you have to go back to the stable?

These are just my observations, I may be incorrect.

I have not found a way to change pets in the field and must go to a Stablemaster to change pets.

My pets do not level while in a stable and do not get quest experience. They only get experience from kills. (as best as I can observe)
