PLEASE HELP! Newb Hunter Pet questions.Follow

Ok, I just became a lvl 10 hunter today, I have done the 3 Hunter quest and now can tame animals. Here is where the Question is, HOW DO I FEED MY ANIMAL? I have a stack of Ribs in my invitory and know my bear eats meat, how do i get them from my sack to his belly? Also, I went to the Pet Trainer in Ironforge (Dwarf Hunter) to learn Growl 1 and 2 but only Growl 3+ was there to learn. Where can I learn these skills. And last questiong, how long do I have to have a pet before I learn his moves (such as Bite 1, or Claw 1)? Thanks a lot, hope to get some answers soon.

once you finish up the ENTIRE quest, you should have the feed pet ability which is located in your spellbook, under beast mastery.
from there you can feed you pet.

The only ability you can learn from pet trainers is Growl. To learn the other abilities such as bite, claw and cower, you need to tame new beasts that HAVE the ability with them. the rank of the ability will depend on the pet's level

Claw usually comes from bears.
Bite comes from crabs, wolves and crocs.
Cower, i've seen comes from forest fledglings.

These abilities can be gotten from various types of pet; you just have to experiement and try taming different types. Once you see your pet use this ability in a battle, you will learn it and be able to teach it to other pets.

You feed your pet by opening your Book. Click on the Beastly tab and you will see Feed Pet. Click on the Feed Pet icon. Your cursor should get a slight blue glow around it that is Very Hard to see. Now click on the food item in your inventory. If you are in 3rd person view and have selected an appropriate food item, you should see some kind of partical effect around your pet and hear eating noises from it. I try to feed my pet twice when I revive it to get it back to the Happy level. When you feed the pet, pause a short while (18 sec) between feedings so the full effects of the feed shows. I ate half a stack of fish trying to figure this out.

If you notice, I think growl 3 is learned at level 20. I cant remember exactly where I got Growl 1 and 2 or the Bite ones, but I remember saying "duh" when I figured it out. You may have it yourself and can train the pet, or the pet may have it already but must wait till it levels up, or maybe the hunter trainer has it. I just remember running around a bit before figuring it out. Hope this answers your pet questions.
