My boyfriend has decided that he wants to play a night elf druid in release. What would be the best race/class for me to play to accompany him? I've thought about night elf rogue or night elf hunter, but I'm just not sure. Any and all opinions are appreciated, thanks!

Warrior. As a Druid, he would however focus on Restorative and Balance, Feral would pretty much an after-thought since you would be doing the tanking/damage. Proper set up of skills and the 2 of you could duo quite well. Thats what a buddy of mine and I did in Beta, worked out very well.

Hrm. He's actually looking forward to the Feral forms, and I'm fairly sure he wouldn't want to play heal-bot/buff-bot for me, lol.
I think I may go hunter, as I was more impressed by my troll hunter in beta than my night elf rogue. The druid, the hunter, and the hunter's pet should all be able to tank to some degree, but hopefully we'll have enough ranged firepower to where that won't be a big issue.
Now then... professions. One of us will definately go skinning/leatherwork, but what else would be good for this combo? Herbalism/Alchemy seems like it may be redundant with the Druid's great heal and buff spells.

I played a NE druid in open beta and my friend played a hunter. This combo worked great. You can play this combo in a number of different ways because of the feral forms. Because I was a bit higher in lvl I would dot and then tank the mobs with my bear form. So we would have 2 tanks with his pet and he could sit back and do all kinds of damage with his arrows. I would suggest this combo.
