I love the class of the rogue, and i've played all of each race until 10. My favorite was playing as a troll... but you want to know about the undead.
Agility helps the sublety skill, which rogues thrive on... the undead have the lowest agility out of all of the races. so when you're stalking your prey, you'll be able to creep closer to your prey, pick pocket and backstab or sap. I played the troll and undead and i could sneak closer and pickpocket every time with the troll, and with the undead i could only do that to targets 2 levels lower than i was.

Contrary to popular(above) belief, starting stats have pretty much little to no effect. By level 10 most of your differences will be gone/1-2 points difference.

Agility also does not have any effect on how good stealth is. Stealth for the most part relies on being able to stay behind a target, and learning a mobs movement patterns as to not stealth behind one only to find him turn around and detect you.

I love undead, they are great to play. Undead can eat the fallen..!!
What more do I have to say?
It was a toss up over gnome rogue (being a small target in PvP can confuse enemy players as they expect an enemy to be the same height, gaining those few precious seconds while they madly click about with the mouse trying to find a target)... but I love undead and I love a challenge and i love evilness......
This is the first game I have played that has allowed an undead race, its all about what you enjoy afterall. the veteran players like myself will know race appeal is just as important as class appeal, and the undead will look great and prove effective in PvP, after all its the players skill, not the character that owns in PvP.

Why choose the Undead rogue:

- Undead can use their ability to be immuned to fear and others (WAYYYY usefull in PvP or just against nice mobs)
- Undead can use canibalize (less downtime... WAY less downtime)
- Undead people are "good", unlike what most of the people think. They meant no harm, but humans rejected them... Make them pay damn it!
- Unlike your common night elf rogue (loads of them cause of their starting stats), you do not lose a racial trait (stealth)...
- Undead rogue is way more original than alot of rogues, and many undeads are all spellcasters... Makes you an original character!

Actually Night Elfs get a bonus to their stelth becaues of their racial trait. Also you can shift from the night elf stelth to rogue stelth without unstealthing meaning you can use it to beat the cool down timer if you are in a pinch for time.

Other then that I see no huge difference between the different races, undead rogues are fine as are any other. Now only if I could play a tauren rogue.

..it's true that the undead has got lowest agillity of all the rogues avavible races but when you get on higher level it wont matter. when you choose your race choose from...: what you thinks looks cool, your personal favorit, which base city you like and what race you detest and hate ... if you got any irl friend you would like 2 kill in the wow world ^^ good luck whit your chooso..
Undead is the coolest after all

They do get a bonus, but I personnaly find that getting another racial trait is better... I personnaly am satisfied with only the rogue stealth... but like you also said, any race can be good with any class they can use, but the style of play is different...

Playing one currently up to level 28 right now. I basically played the undead because you've never been able to before and I think they look cool as hell. I can't really see any difference in dps compared to other races.. weapons really seem to make the most difference, unless you're just fighting unarmed.

It's true, your racial stats only matter in the begining of the game, but then again WoW starts at lvl 60... As for making an undead rogue, some people say it is the best for rogue, but those are just opinions. I personaly ( havent made a rogue yet, still picking between warrior or rogue, but have a shaman )am going to make an undead or a troll rogue. Im picking just on the fact of the 2 races are so freakn' cool.

btw, the Horde team is the actual " good " team. People always call the more vicious people bad =( the NE's are good too, but the humans are the most evil in the game. That's if your into the actual Warcraft storyline.

Orcs and dwarves have lower starting AGI, actually. Not that it matters- I have more +AGI (+100something, added to 88ish base) than base AGI. Skill>gear>class stats>racial stats.

I'm undead. They are the best rogue race IMHO, because they can reliably beat priests, which most others rogue races can't do. It also makes warlocks very easy to kill. Aside from that, cannibalize is fun, and under water breathing is great to get other races off your back, as well as for drowning others and scouting.

My 2 cents.

I chose undead for one main reason....PvP.

While other rogue classes will be feared left and right by warlocks and priests. I just pop a racial ability and the Dps on an alliance Pc doesn't stop. I just didn't see that kind of benifit in any of the other rogue races. Other than that being able to eat somone you just waisted for health is pretty fun.
