I've been wondering this for a while, which do you all think is more beneficial for goldsmithing: mag. craftsmanship or craftsmanship? I'm trying to plan out my crafting gear and I constantly find myself torn between the two, I want it to be as effective as possible! lol
Any thoughts?

I haven't been able to tell a difference between the two when crafting. Although my Goldsmith is only R17 so far. As far as I can tell from all the gear I was looking at, it seems that the crafting gear that is taylored to the Goldsmith is mostly Mag. Craftmanship. The other gear that is okay for Goldsmith has alot of Perception which I believe is for DOL. So you can get other crafting gear that has Output etc, but I'm not sure it will be as effective because it's not for GSM.

I haven't done any testing nor seen any, but just from what I've heard, Craftsmanship affects the success of the synth, while Magic Crafstmanship increases your chance of HQing.

Im with Threx....at least in believeing other than the accepted. What se says doesnt mean sh*t to me.. and basically seems all wrong most of the time.
o btw Innovation , alchemy skill reads this : Reduces success, while improving quality gain. 1 Month ago it said : Reduces success , while improving craftsmanship.
they changed during update.. so in my mind.. I sorta think craftsmanship might mean quality gains.

I dont know, bring some proof, please, id love the info, but dont just say " o se says this so its right" lol, maybe you should smack yurself in the face, hard.

Mag Craft as far the testing I've done, seems to affect stability and ease of Off Hand tools. I did some tests with craft heavy sets vs mag craft heavy sets on OH synths, and mag craft was hands down superior in terms of ending durability and stability. On 100 ingots made, using a craft heavy set caused 5 times as many unstables and an ending durability of about 10% less ( hq rate were the same).
